Mak Salon in Cumming, GA

Wish I could rate negative for their customer service. I had made an appointment with Angel on Mar 13 and on Mar 12 Ritu calls me and says Angel left the job so my appointment is cancelled for 13th and if I can make it in 2 hours she can attend me . I told her I will reschedule it. Then I rescheduled the appointment for Mar 17th with Hope at 5.15 PM. I received an appointment confirmation mail that morning. When I went to the salon I see it was already closed at 5.00 PM. I called them couple of times. No answer. Finally when I texted them saying I am waiting outside, Ritu calls me back and says Hope left the job so my appointment was again cancelled. So when I asked her why was I not informed she had no answer. When I asked her then why do they take appointments and send confirmation mail she yelled at me. The saloon lists their timings up to 7.pm on their site as well as on Google but they actually close before. They don't track the appointments nor have the basic courtesy to be sorry for doing something wrong.

New to the area and I always have trouble finding reputable salons. I have very high standards for hair stylists (honestly what woman doesn't?). I am always afraid to go to a new salon and have had so many bad experiences. I was at my last place for almost 6 years but it took over a year of trial and error with other salons before I found them. Now we have moved to Georgia and I called around, got referrals, read reviews, etc. I decided on MAK salon because it was close to home with good reviews. Lizbeth was the stylist that worked with me. What a gem she is! So sweet and bubbly! I love that she only worked with me (can't stand being juggled with other clients). I gave her full reign so she can show off her stuff and she delivered. Super cute edgy bob-do. The place is very clean and everyone was so nice. I'm so elated that I found a great salon on my first try! I will be asking Lizbeth to do color next so let's see how that goes!

I absolutely love this salon! Hope was wonderful and professional - highly recommend the conditioning treatment! My hair had never looked better.

Go. See. Anya! She is MIRACULOUS with hair! My last hair appointment was the first week of March 2020, and then the Covid-19 pandemic shutdown ensued. My wonderful stylist decided to leave the business, and I was hard pressed to find a beauty expert to maintain my color, occasionally do balayage or some kind of highlight or lowlight, and who treated hair with an excellent Keratin product. Thanks to the recommendation of a friend, I am a new "Anya evangelist!" Anya is very responsive via text regarding appointment availability. I sent her photos and she was able to provide me a very competitive quote for Keratin. My appointment was excellent! She gave me a consultation on lowlights, we covered the gray at my roots, applied the lowlights, and finished with a Keratin treatment. She also had a great recommendation for a deep conditioner, which I will use today! She also treated me to aesthetics services, dying my eyebrows, which are turning silver! I have already contacted her to ask for a styling appointment - I need a vintage hairstyle for an upcoming PinUp party. Ask Anya about her custom soaps and lotions. She owns a goat farm and makes amazing products! I almost hate to recommend her so highly because I want to keep her all to myself! But her salon is open, she is exceptional at what she does, and I'll happily drive from Woodstock up to Cumming for her expertise.

Russian is a cool dude and he always gives me the cleanest line ups. i highly recommend him if you're trying to look fresh.
