I never write reviews for anything, but I needed up with such a terrible cut I felt the need to write. I had a cut with Lynda--said I wanted a trim and some long layers with texture put in. The whole time I was getting my hair cut, she had me turned away from the mirror, and never told me what she was doing or asked if the length of layers was okay. She did not show me the back of the hair at all. Toward the end of my appt. another client came in, and Lynda did not even have time to completely dry my hair or style it at all, so I really had no idea what it looked like until I got home and tried to style myself. There had been absolutely no blending of the layers into the rest of the hair and some were extremely short. The layers were chopped and there seemed to be no overall shape of the hair. Today I went to get the hair corrected at another salon, and stylist said it was the worst haircut she had ever had to correct and did the best she could to fix it. So now, $150 later between two hair cuts I have a cut I still am not crazy about since so much damage was done with the original cut. I get the sense these stylists at Madison and Co. have not had any updated training or continuing education in a long time. I would strongly not recommend, and will be contacting the salon to see if I can get a refund.

Another amazing session with Debra! I had to come back after my first session with her where I decided to go short on hair length! Loved it so much I came back and decided to go shorter! I have always had dark hair and I wanted to go blonde which was a scary thought for me! But Debra has made this process amazing and I'm more excited now! I'm loving my hair and I'm excited to come back and have her transform me into a full on blonde! :) the compliments are rolling in too!!

If you need a quick brow fix, go there and ask for Luke. I only have a handful of people I trust with my brows and he's one of them. Making appointments, mostly because it isn't a time consumer service to schedule, is never tough. I just walk over in the skyway over lunch or in-between meetings and I'm usually in and out within 15 minutes. :)

Well I suppose it depends on your provider. I got a brow wax today after not having visited for a few years and it was a lousy experience. It was over the bowl sink so it was incredibly uncomfortable and Carol didn't have a magnifying light to do her job. I was also disappointed that Carol didn't have a hypoallergenic soother for after (aloe had perfume and dyes in it). I would have expected that hypoallergenic was a no brainer around the delicate eye area that's just been waxed. The real shocker came at the end when I was told it was a $25 job. You can go to a fancy brow studio where they have comfortable tables, lighted magnifying glasses and provide you with makeup touchup for $25 or LESS than that in the Twin Cities (Brow Chic). Needless to say, I'm not coming back.

I've been a regular here with Luke for the past three years. He does my hair and brows and I am always happy with the results. I have blond and fine hair, so it's really hard to cut correctly and he does a great job. Everyone I've dealt with at the salon is friendly and professional. It's my hands down favorite salon, bonus for being in the skyway!
