M C Nails & Spa in Putnam, CT

I'm 60-something and new to Putnam area, looking for a salon to get a 2nd ever pedicure. (Mostly needed my toenails trimmed ... bum hip keeps me from doing it myself!!) Was very pleased w McNails ... clean facility, w pleasant, friendly, and talented staff. And reasonably priced ... I'll be back.

I am very happy with the way my manicure and pedicure came out. I was there for almost 2 hours, with complete attention from one person. This was amazing because most times I feel like they rush you out to get the next person in. I recommend going in the morning or mid day if you would like their full attention.
I paid $50 for tips and gel, which seems reasonable to me. And $35 for a regular pedicure with regular polish.
The nail industry has gotten pricy over the last few years especially, but I feel like for the service that was provided, this was a fair price.
I have been many times before but today I felt very pampered and like my time and money was actually worth it.
There are definitely some times where I have felt like it isn't but I am glad to have a positive experience today!!

Went there today and as someone who went through cosmetology school and has education in infection control this salon is absolutely disgusting. The towel on the station looked like it had been used all day, I watched the nail tech break the neck of the nail polish bottle off the rest of the way, dip the brush in and apply it to my nails, none of their tools were a sanitized, and all files were previously used. I payed for two services that were $35 and $55 so please tell my why they took $106 off my card?!

Not sure why all the reviews are so poor but when you look at them- they are literally all from 4+ years ago! This place is always pretty quiet & I rarely see any cars parked in the lot. The first nail place I started going to when I moved up here- is wonderful but a lot further away then this one. This nail salon is much closer to where I live and therefore a lot more convenient for me to go to- so I decided to walk in on a whim on Valentine's Day after work.  They immediately asked me to pick a color & and took me right away for my pedicure.

I decided on the middle pedicure- at $46 which included hot stones, a massage, and paraffin
wax. I also got a gel French pedicure (which is what I always get) and for the gel and the French- the total was $62 which is definitely a lot cheaper then I normally pay for a pedicure! I left a $12 tip so $75 total for this pedi! I usually pay between $70-$95 for a pedicure with the same (massage, hot stones, paraffin wax).

They had nice massage chairs, and the staff was nice although my tech had issues with understanding English- not that I cared. I think overall she did an amazing job on my feet, albeit it felt a tad bit rushed! The massage isn't as long as it's been at other places, the hot stones and paraffin also felt a little rushed.

But overall it was really good experience/pedicure & my feet came out perfect! I love the way they look and I would definitely return here! I'm surprised more people don't come here! They do a great job and the prices are very competitive! I wanted to give 4 stars but I'm going to round up to a 4.5 star review for 5 stars!

I went to get my eyebrows done before prom, and they burned my eye lids. Ripped a layer of skin off and now they burn, will probably scab and I have pork in 3 days. Do NOT recommend. They lady who did them said "Wow your face gets really red." Like typically I do not get red only if the wax is too hot, which it wasn't and everything was fine. Until she proceeded to put this gel on and it burned really bad. And then left my face like this.
