I have had a lot of tough experiences when it comes to nails around Richmond and midlothian but this is my favorite salon! Solar nails used to be in Westchester Common and now they are off Midlothian Turnpike by Chesterfield Mall. Jackie is so kind and genuine and she did a great job on my toes. We talked all about her life and how she got into nails - I have never been happier about supporting a business. Their new place is beautiful and clean and I already have made another appointment for a few weeks out to come back!

I rarely get to have my nails done since I have three young children. I arrived an hour and 15 minutes before closing with my daughter as a treat for her after the first day of school, and they rushed us throughout the entire visit. They did my manicure quickly at my pedicure chair and used barely any lotion. They also didn't respect my daughters request about how she wanted her nails painted. Also, they were most definitely talking about us in Vietnamese. I've given them several chances but no more. Don't waste your time with these lazy, rude women!

Sub par work and ridiculous wait times. There were two customers and 4-5 employees and I was asked to wait 45 minutes. Then I was told I should have known to come earlier on the day. Will never go back.

I called ahead of time to be sure they could accommodate a mani. I arrived an hour before they closed and sat down immediately to remove my previous gel manicure. They asked if I wanted a pedicure and I indulged. The girl who did my pedi was a delight but rushed my service, completed in under 15 minutes. The other nail tech was working on my nails at the same time. She jammed the metal cuticle pusher into each of my nail beds with unnecessary force because she was rushing. She sat me down at her station after my pedi was done and I had to ask her to address the gel that was still remaining on the corners of each nail. She seemed annoyed that I criticized her work but I'm paying her to do a good job. I told the techs that I was getting ready for vacation and was expecting a proposal so my nails needed to be on point! I paid $50 plus a $10 tip for my nails to look like I did it myself and I left feeling rushed and unfinished. I will never go back.
