LUXE NAIL BAR INC in Knoxville, TN

I am not sure why this place only has 3 stars.
I found it after several disappointing places.
Have been here multiple times.
Service is great, quality superb and always easy to get in.

I highly recommend it!

Do NOT go here if you have young children. I took my daughter who is 5 and my niece who is 14 there to get our nails done for a girls day. My niece rarely gets her nails done and wasn't sure of a color... so the older lady that done her nails rushed her to sit down even though she hadn't decided on a color. My daughter got her nails painted and then came and sat beside of me while I was getting mine done. There was 2 younger workers that kept coming up behind her chair and watching her phone with her. Several times they would do this. Then one time he brushed my daughters hair back off her shoulders. He asked her age and if she had a boyfriend!!! She is 5!!! He also tried to pick her up a couple of times by her legs. Once while I was washing my hands. And again right before we left. My niece also kept looking at me getting weird vibes from them by the way they were treating my daughter. He also told her she was very beautiful. By the time we left I was so on edge thinking they had came up with a plan (in their language) to steal her or something. I was beyond ready to leave. We will NOT be back.

I've been to Luxe several times in the past 2 years. I've always thought that they have done a decent job until two weeks ago. My appointment was later in the evening and by the time my dip had soaked off and the women assigned to my nails was done with her other appointment, it was almost closing time. I asked the lady if I could have almond shaped nails. She began filing them but after taking a couple chunks off the side of my nail, she told me they were too short for that shape. I asked her to just round them off. They looked bad but what could I do? While she was trying to reshape them, everyone was running around, trying to pick up their stations, everyone was excited to go home. I get it, it was Friday, but it felt very unprofessional. She finally finished and assigned another guy to paint my nails (gel). He put two coats on them in a hurry, barely gave me a hand massage, I paid and left. My nails have never been more flimsy, they're breaking off, and it just really makes me angry that they couldn't take the time to do a good job. If they want to leave when it's closing time, don't schedule the appointment so late. Needless to say, I won't be going back. It makes me sad because I really did like going there.

In the area for the day. We ate & saw this shop across the street. Pretty place. Seems very clean & upbeat music and BUSY on a Friday afternoon.

SO MANY COLORS to choose from! Gel $15 extra, I think. $57 for one mani/pedi. (Basic Ped $37 & basic nails $20.

He cut my nails FLAT... didn't ask how I wanted them. I had to ask him to round them... he did. Rough edges (i don't get nail polish, so it really shows when they're not smooth. :(

THEN, when they were dry, you could see through the color on one foot... all nails. They redid them. Someone else did it.

And he made my finger bleed where he clipped cuticle... clipped too close. I noticed at the end when he sprayed with alcohol.  :(

Mia was VERY KIND and gentle with my elderly mom (who slept thru much of the event)

Just had an incredible pedicure from Alex!  What a difference after from before. I haven't had a pedicure in a long while and he totally took his time. Service was amazing!!
