Little Nail Shop in Indianapolis, IN

The salon advertises walk-in availability, but on a Thursday morning, my sister and I were told that it would be a three hour wait for a walk in appointment for two full sets. We decided to go elsewhere because we didn't want to spend an additional three hours of my birthday in a nail shop just waiting to get our nails done.

Fast forward to three weeks later, we made appointments in advance for a fill in and a polish change. We arrived at our appointment time, they took my sister back to begin her nails. They told me that they were looking for somebody to do my nails. There was another girl that walked in behind me that was a walk in appointment - I had a scheduled appointment and she had walked in, but they took her over me and did a polish change for her and a pedicure. But somehow they didn't have time for my  polish change, even though I made an appointment.

Christine was the technician that did my sister's nails and she was able to fix the nail shape that was screwed up by the previous nail shop and get her polish changed before her cruise to the Bahamas. Her technician, Christine, was very nice and she did a great job. We brought in my nephew with us who is a year and a half, and she was very polite and playful with my nephew. She offered me a seat next to my sister since it was empty, but there was another lady that told me I had to move, that I couldn't sit there since I wasn't getting my nails done. I stood awkwardly behind my sister for a while, then decided to take my nephew outside to play with a bouncy ball that I had in my bag.

Cost for my sister's nails was $55 and it took about 45 minutes and she just got a plain white gel coat done they did not carry foil for designs. Even though the shop as a whole was rather unprofessional, I still gave my sister's technician a 28% tip because she was nice and she was able to fix the botched shape of my sisters nails from when we got our full sets done on my birthday.

Despite having appointments for both myself and my daughter, my daughter was treated like a walk-in (or worse). The first woman started her by rushing her to choose nail colors and essentially grabbing colors for her. Then, the nail stylist had a regular customer come in and kept trying to get someone else to take over for her, mid-pedicure ("can someone finish this pedicure for me" "can someone take over" multiple times). My daughter's entire pedicure was rushed, and as a result, when I looked at her nails once we got home, two were completely messed up and we had to go back the next day for a repair. Another stylist did my daughter's manicure. She was quiet, but took her time. However, I was in a different area getting my manicure done and no one told my daughter what to do or me that she was done or when she could move. Eventually, I asked my own stylist when she would be done sitting alone in her chair and if she could come over by us. My daughter was patient, stayed still, and was such a great listener, but no one seemed to want to treat her like she belonged there. My stylist did a good job and took her time, but three of my nails were chipped within a day, despite not doing anything especially tough--just typical daily tasks.

TLDR--don't offer a "princess" mani and pedi if you won't treat them like the adults and give them proper care. If you don't think the kids notice, they do, because my daughter asked "mom, why do only grownups get one person the whole time?"

Today was our second visit to "Little Nail Shop". They are so kind and patient with me daughter and helped her make her drawing of what she wanted her nails to look like come to life. Technicians are patient and you don't feel like they are rushing to get you out the door. Ambiance is calming and salon is beautiful and clean. We don't do our nails often.... but when we do this is our place forever.

I'm a little hesitant when it comes to trying new nail shops because so much can go wrong but Little Nail Shop was a dream. I got off work at 5 and just went to the first shop that came up in my google maps hoping for a little bit of relaxation. The shop was beautiful shop was beautiful, clean, and spacious. There were quite a few customers and clients there at the time but it was in no way loud or cramped. I would definitely recommend reserving this place for a girls night or bridal party.

Heather did my pedicure and she was very friendly and thorough. It's been almost a week and it looks just as good as it did on the first day.

I don't remember the name of who did my acrylics (mina maybe?) because I was so beyond exhausted at that point. She was super super nice and willing to try what I asked of her. I will admit that I've been spoiled by my normal nail tech because she can do any design/shape you ask for under the sun and the design I got was not at the same level. All of my jewels on one hand already came off and the gel top coat has cracked. On the other hand it looks like enough of the top coat wasn't put on so there's nothing on the tip of the nail.

Honestly a great experience and i would absolutely try this place again. Would definitely recommend an appointment and simple nail designs.
