Lee Nails in Woodlawn, MD

I visited this shop today. It's a very beautiful and clean salon with very polite workers. Although polite, they lack in skill. I watched 2 women with short nails receive beautiful gel polish manicures, a man receive a very nice pedicure and I was excited for my turn in the chair. I came in for a fill in and I was in the chair in 7 minutes flat. A man shaped and filed my nails with a technique that looked completely unflawed but after polishing that was not the case at all. I walked out of the salon with 8 of 10 misshaped nails, I returned once I got a look at them with natural lighting. When I returned I complained about the $40 I spent on the under satisfactory fill in. My nails were reshaped by the same technician and I walked out still displeased. I won't return to this salon.

I went there today to get my gel tips removed and get gel paint on my natural nails. The male nail tech cut my natural nails way too short after accidentally cutting a ragged chunk out of one of them while removing the gel tips. When I told him he was cutting my nails too short he said it was because they "weren't healthy." I know this to be not true because my regular nail technician comments on how healthy my nails are and refuses to put acrylic tips on them because the natural nails are strong and healthy. He then said he had to cut the cuticles but he did not remove the cuticle cutters and pressers from a sterilized package like they do at most other salons. I saw him wipe the cuticle scissors with a damp cotton ball but I saw no evidence they were sterilized. My gel manicure on my natural nails is streaky and lumpy and rushed. There were ripples in two nails which he unsuccessfully tried to fix. I could have done a much better paint job at home. The removal of the gel tips and polish was $10 and the gel polish on my natural nails was $30. So now I have a $40 poor looking and possibly unsterilized manicure.

Really great place, Charlie is the ABSOLUTE best there!!!! Extremely lovely and perfectionist, great customer service! But be aware, the manager is super nasty and rude. He yelled at me "He won't take you cuz I'm not going to wait for him" thats what he said. Like that was sooo unprofessional and disrespectful It made me not wanting to go again. Not to mention that I arrived at 7pm and they close at 9pm. I'll only go for Charlie!!!

I used to come here on and off but now I think it'll be a permanent switch. I never have to wait for service. The regular pedicure is 35 bucks and make my feet feel like heaven. The location is convenient. I've never had a bad pedicure experience with either of the techs and Shadow does my nails. I feel more comfortable going now that they've renovated. It was old looking and not so clean before. The massage chairs are bomb, bathroom is clean and always a good movie on to distract the time. A lot of people frequent their shop for eyebrows but I go somewhere else so that must be good as well. I'm not sure of the wait during busy times after 3pm but I'm sure it's not too bad. They have steady and consistent customers and service.

My experience at Lee Nails in Security Mall was not the most pleasant. I got a gel manicure and it was completely rushed. The nail was not evenly painted at all. The service was ok however, when I let Nick know that it was not painted evenly he seemed annoyed.
