My mom only comes to TK and I finally got her to try a pedi with him and he was gentle with her and she loved it!

I went there today to remove my gel manicure and to get a "regular" manicure. It is not my regular salon, but I went there out of convenience because I was at the mall. They were nice, but the nail tech used his fingernails to clean up the rogue polish around my nails. Ewwww. No q-tips? That was so disgusting. Why even bother to wear a face mask??? The end product was very messy, and the work done was unprofessional and unsanitary. Anyway the end result was chunky nail polish, even with 10 -15 min of drying under the fan. Probably should've just had the gel removal. I paid $41, I came home and removed the chunky polish myself. Lesson learned. By the way, the business has a sign via a ticker tape lighted banner stating that they "aren't responsible for the techs because they are independent contractors; if customers have any issues with the service, we should take it up directly with the tech. " So unfortunate that I saw this after he put on a 2nd coat of polish on a still wet first coat of polish. This policy of independent contractors is a smart way for this business to avoid customer complaints.

Your experience is really based on who you get.  When i got my manicure i got several fingers cut with the clippers whilst my mom, on the other hand, had a great experience with the ladies that did her pedicure and manicure.  Iʻm returning again for my mom and this time she had a male and he took great care of her.  Thank you TK!  So all the stars for her experience.

Decided to treat myself to a mani & pedi after work. I ended up getting gel nails with extension. Ombré nails.
Much faster then I thought it would be. Very accommodating as I added eyebrow wax also. They didn't try to chat me up which I was grateful for since I was tired from a long day at work.

The one star is for Lena. From the start she kept pushing for Gel. We told her multiple times no. Then when it came down to the design - she kept saying if she wants that then she HAS TO get Gel. I asked why and she kept insisting she couldnt have the nails (in left picture) without Gel. So I took the reference photo to the other nail techs and asked if this design had to be Gel. They both said "no can be regular too" so again I asked so why is she saying it has to be Gel. They later continued their conversation in their language and she just seemed like she didnt want to do it. Not only that but she cut multiple fingers and my sisters thumb was bleeding from the cut that she did. So I asked if someone who could do the design finish her nails being thats what she wants for her senior prom. The lady insisted she'd do it. She did such a terrible job! Looked like she intentionally did it with no effort. All the lines were crooked, she only did one coat, and you can see my sister's natural nail through the powder. I asked for her name so that I could complain and she again said thats why Gel is more better. BS, I did a french set with TJ and you dont see my natural nails. TJ was nice enough to look at my sisters nails and fix HER mistakes. He made her nails so much better and while my sister was under the dryer. Lena had the nerve to try and justify her TERRIBLE work by telling my sister its because her fingers. NEVER AGAIN! SHE'S THE WORRSST! GO TO ANYONE BUT HER!
