Las Vegas Beauty Studio in Las Vegas, NV

I found Velvet Fontenette on StyleSeat because I needed to have my loc extensions repaired and a retwist.   Velvet seemed very knowledgeable and sweet, so I decided to let her do my hair.  

On the first visit, she pointed out what my previous loctitian did wrong and provided me with a temporary fix.   She told me that I could schedule an appointment for a later date to have my hair completely redone as a permanent fix.  

I did schedule an appointment and went back to her, and to make a long story short. She obviously does not have a lot of training in locs and she made it worse.  She talks a big game but does not know what she is doing.  She completely messed up my hair but still charged me $850.  

I was not happy with the end result, it looked very sloppy.  I went back to her a few days later and asked her fix it. She was unapologetic and gave me an attitude.  She told me that "I have unrealistic expectations."

Once leaving the salon, I did some research and found out that her install was done incorrect and was not the industry standard .  I tried to reach out to her for a resolution since she charged me $850 but she has ghosted me.   Very unprofessional.

I had the best experience here. My New Stylist Tiara is the bomb. loved her energy. We really vibes and bonded. And she had a playlist of Gospel Music that topped off her beautiful personality. the salon is beautiful, calming and so clean. I'm home!!

Ok, so definitely not the best salon in town as another review suggested. The services are hit and miss just depending on which provider you see. I have had braids done by 2 people. The first one wasn't what we were looking for and the 2nd one Deja is our regular braider. ( She is now independent and no longer at this salon)

As far as the salon itself it is really going to depend on your comfort level. It is on the East Side of town on Charleston. If you blink driving buy you will miss it. Definately not an upscale salon. The area is questionable and your service will depend on the provider.

Best salon in Vegas. Everyone is super friendly and welcoming! Amber the lash tech ALWAYS slays my lashes! She does such a great job, and gets to know every client she gets. I highly recommend the salon to anyone wanting lashes or their hair done.
