L A NAILS in Indianapolis, IN

I was driving around looking for somewhere to get a pedicure and found this nail salon.  It is located at the corner unit of a strip center on West 86th st. I walked in and they took me right away.  He escorted me to the pedicure chair and started to fill the bowl.  He stepped away and I noticed the ceiling lights came on. After he was done he turned the lights back off.  He did a great job, no complaints here.  I will be going back for another pedicure.

Seriously the best pedicure I've ever had.  The owner was super attentive and took his time.  Even though it was close to closing I didn't feel like he rushed me through.  He was friendly, had a good sense of humor and made me feel like he really enjoyed his job and business instead of making me feel like a number.  He also recommended adding another color to my first choice to make it "pop".  Very pleased

I really went back and forth on this review b/c the gentleman who did my nails was so friendly but the quality is so meh. I feel like I could have done this myself if I had the supplies but I don't, so $70 down the drain.

I was out running errands and since getting a mani/pedi was on my to do list, I decided to try out this spot because it was in the area I was in. Obviously I had no appointment because it was a spontaneous decision, so I was expecting a wait.

I opened the door and there was only one person being serviced with no one waiting. It was a Saturday morning so that should've been enough of a red flag. There was one nail tech servicing that lady and he only greeted me after I lingered inside of the door for awhile. He said they could do a mani/pedi, so I picked a color and sat down.

After awhile, a lady emerged from the back to come do my nail. She was very focused and meticulous on the pedicure. I was interested in trying one of their deluxe pedicures because it looked relaxing, but she never asked if I wanted to upgrade so I didn't bother. She did a great job on the pedicure, nonetheless. As we transitioned to my manicure, the waiting area started to fill up. I'm not sure if she felt rushed to get to them (it was still just the two of them working, with four people now waiting), but I wasn't all that impressed with the manicure. It wasn't terrible, just not great.

It was very dimly lit (they later turned the lights on while I got my pedicure but promptly turned them right back off), a Netflix movie was playing on the television, and you could hear a dryer in the back going with something heavy going the entire time I was there.

Overall, if you want a good mani/pedi, you could give this place a try. However, if you're looking for an experience this is definitely not the nail salon for you.

I feel like people only rate badly when they have one bad experience which isn't fair for the business. A lot of places have longer wait times regardless of appointments just because...life happens. Every time I've come to LA nails I've been treated with the upmost respect and have had great service from both of the workers. They're both so sweet and even stayed past close for me before. I think this place is great if you are on or around the north side of Indy.
