King Nails in Indianapolis, IN

Yikes! This is my second attempt with this salon, but sadly - both times were major fails. I have actually never had any services performed by this company. However, I had the same terrible experience with who I assume is the female owner of this business. The first time I went to the salon, I sat down in the chair and the owner was terribly rude to me. She had an awful attitude and treated me terribly. I smiled and asked her if everything was ok, and she snipped back at me with an attitude and said, "yea why"...I kept trying to make friendly conversation with her, as she seemed so frustrated for me to be in her presence. I could no longer take her energy, so before she started anything - I told her I did not appreciate how I was being treated and I left. Several months later, I figured I would give it another try. I had a broken nail ( from a salon in KY, so was not able to return for a fix ) -  and stopped by to see if there was someone different in there who could fix it. Nope, but there she was, slouched over, zoned out on her phone, and sitting in a chair ...in an entirely empty salon. Not a single soul was in there. I asked her if she could fix my nail and without even looking at my nails, she told me she did not have that color. haha. I literally have fall-like colors on my nails. Every salon has these basic colors. She then got up from her seat and said, "no, no, I don't have those colors, I can't do your nail." I then said, it's ok - you do not need to match it exactly, I just need it fixed, I will pay you to fix the nail if that is what you are worried about. She shook her said, and said, no no - I have other customers. I said, so wait, are you literally telling me in your dead empty salon, that you will not take my business? She said, yes. I repeated and said, ok, so you are refusing to fix my nail then? She said, yes. After that exchange, I smiled and left. I will not be returning to this salon.

I'm 73, fat and diabetic. I need to take care of my feet and it's getting almost impossible to clip them myself
I came here to have my toenails trimmed. No foot wash, no cuticle trim, no polish. Just cut the nails
The man shot me a price I could live with so I said let's go.
Well it wasn't with sterilized nippers, just  regular clippers but the woman was quick and even used an emery board to smooth the rough edges.
About 10 minutes out the door.
I'll be back next month.

I've always had great results here. I've never had my acrylics chip off or get loose. very nice and peaceful place. Nice owners!  King Nails has lots of color choices and very good service.

Was in the neighborhood and needed my nails done so I thought I'd give them a try... Really bad idea... I first asked the guy at the desk... so you do gel fills? because I know some places
don't but he said yes... Then the girl who actually did my nails said she could do gel fills too... she first did a less than 15 minute pedicure for $30... which I thought was too little for too much... then on to the manicure... I asked her to make the length the same amount shorter as the fill so they didn't get too long... she said ok but then didn't and I said they're still long and she told me it would be $5 to trim less than an 1/8th of an inch... really? So I'm still being friendly while she nicked my skin for the 4th or 5th time with the dremmel... that's when I see that she's NOT doing a gel fill she's doing acrylics... I definitely didn't want acrylic nails! I told her I wasn't happy with it and she said she was doing what I asked for and played the "I don't understand English card"... so I left 40 minutes after I walked in the door with $65 less in my pocket and had a less than mediocre pedicure and sore fingers sporting acrylic nails that look like they won't last long as the edges are rough... This is the first time in probably 20 years that I didn't tip my nail technician but hey... it was pretty awful...

worse experience in my entire life, This woman made me angry, she left my feet with all the scratches, all the varnish left on my feet for 2 weeks, I'm so nervous, I paid $30 and I left my feet like that, because if I stayed to finish my nails, my heart could also stuck in this salon. I went to the salon with my husband, I had to take a break from the car so I couldn't breathe so much that I felt angry.

I don't advise anyone to put their feet in the old KING NAILS, it's because the people who collect them don't know how to do nails, I spend the worst moments of my life with these people.
