L.A. Bikini in Mobile, AL

Bryanna (spelling??) is the best! So sweet, easy to talk to.  she took the time to mostly tweeze my eyebrows because they were literal bushes and I barely felt it. Definitely recommend her!!

Great staff! Clean facility! I get my sugar waxing done by Emily and she is so sweet! Great employee!

With a bunch of hits and misses at this establishment the final nail in the coffin was when I recently discovered my long time sugarist, Katy Mathis, was let go.  Needing to get taken care of, against my better judgement, I made an appt anyway with whoever was available.  I wasn't even aware sugaring could hurt so badly.  It was like the sugarist was mad at my hair for having the audacity to even be there in the first place.

Katy was kind, gentle, and a hoot to chat with...I always looked forward to my appts.  Any friend looking for a recommendation I would send them right her way, and tell them to request her specifically.

Needless to say, I will not be returning to LA Bikini and I will be sure to tell anyone looking for a recommendation about my latest encounter.

Oh my goodness. After weeks of working 4-6 days in a row of 13 hour shifts in a hospital- and doing nursing school, I was so happy to spoil myself a little. Covid-19 certainly put a damper on my personal grooming. But thanks to Emily, all is well again. She was extremely thorough, yet very gentle. And it was quick. I was shocked at how fast she was. And yet it was the smoothest and definitely most painless sugaring I've ever had. Definitely worth the drive from west Georgia into Birmingham.

I have visited this sugaring studio for probably the past 3 years. Overall, the front desk staff is friendly, facility is clean, and I usually have a great experience with one particular sugarist--Katy Mathis.

My reason for giving two stars is because prior to Katy, my experience at LA Bikini was consistently inconsistent due to the high level of turnover with staff members. Some were rude, some inefficient, some apathetic. But when I met Katy, I knew she was someone I had to lock in as a permanent service provider. FYI ladies--when you're getting hair ripped out of your hoo ha, having a relationship with the person doing it is paramount. You have to be comfortable with the person doing it, and the staff at LA Bikini seemed to be so unpredictable before Katy that I almost stopped going altogether.

Now, to reach my point for giving two stars: as a business, why the hell would you sever the relationship with one of your longest-employed service providers with whom your loyal clients have built a relationship over the years? As a customer, I feel like the decision to take away someone who provided me with such excellent service was a poor business move. Because I do not trust the service of others who are currently employed by your facility (not saying that they're not excellent staff members--I just don't know them or have a relationship with them due to the extremely high turnover I've observed over the years as a customer), I can no longer patronize this establishment. And that makes me sad, because it's not easy to build a relationship with someone who will be responsible for accessing our most sensitive areas.

I don't know where Katy is now, but just due to the sheer lack of consideration that LA Bikini has shown towards its customers in severing a relationship with someone highly valued by those who pay them to employ people they trust, I'll no longer be attending this establishment.
