L' Moshaliz Hair Salon & Barber Shop in New York, NY

I'll make this as brief as possible while hopefully providing my fellow Yelpers the valuable insight they are looking for here. So for starters, it's worth noting that I am very particular about my hair styling and (at least try to) take good care of my hair. I've been searching for the right Salon / Barber on the Upper East Side for years, in the hopes of finding a spot that takes pride in the valuable service they are providing and provides such service with a high level of expertise -- all the while trying to stay under $30 all-in (not an easy feat in this city!). And folks, I've indeed found what I was looking for! After going in for a second time (to ensure the first cut wasn't a fluke or anything), I can say confidently that you are going to love your experience at L'MoshAliz's Salon. All the guys there seem to definitely not only know what they're doing, but also clearly love what they do! And in my opinion, it was the perfect amount of conversation vs. just sitting back and letting them to do their magic. To summarize, I was absolutely thrilled with my two haircuts from them and at a value around $25, I feel like I have found one of those rare unicorns out there in the Salon world. So needless to say, I'm glad I walked by this place one day and decided to give them a try -- I would highly recommend this place to any one of my friends. My two brothers are actually planning to try them out in a few weeks as well :-) You will honestly have a difficult time finding a better haircut for the prices they charge. I really recommend you giving them a try one day - it will be worth every penny! If curious, I included some photos of my recent cut. For what it's worth, I felt like a boss walking out of this place. 10/10!!

Great, reasonably-priced haircut from a great, friendly staff. This is my new go-to barber shop on the Upper East Side!

Only place I've been to that charges you by the length of your hair as per the menu on their walls, something to the effect of - price varies by length. $16 haircut, as advertised on the large $16 on their yellow outdoor sign with the small print "crew cut only" under it, and then variable charges (subjective I would say) for anything else. Maybe best to have them put down the actual price in writing for you before they start. Nice haircut/talented barber but I found the price difficult to lock down.

After living on upper east side for over 18 months, I have finally found this shop where I can be a regular. Perfect cut, great conversations and really professional!

Fantastic haircut. Squeezed me in last minute and really great atmosphere. Would recommend to anyone looking for a solid cut in the UES
