Don't come here if you want to start your locs. They dont do a nice job starting locs. Maintaining locs maybe but not starting. Your hair will be getting ripped with a comb while it's being washed. It's a fee to have your hair deep conditioned before styling. Was left with excessive breakage. If only I can attach the pic. Hair to part ratio isn't considered even when you've specified in many ways what size locs you're aiming for when it matures. my coils was done on mostly dry hair and each parting and combing was painful. Comb coils are supposed to be done on damp hair. I told her to start from bottom to scalp, but nah, she continued to comb dry hair with a fine tooth comb like it's a euro texture. I left with inconsistent parts, many of of them being thumb size or too wide especially one that stands out in the middle of my head. My hair is far from sparse. I have very thick & very dense 4C hair. A size like that for me will mature into a marker size or fatter and I asked for a  slim size. I was hoping to leave with nice starter locs few days before my birthday but I left disappointed. Stylist Just wanted to get over it to go home. Over 100$ wasted. Beware! The one star only goes to front desk customer service being good.

This shop  is far the best for all natural hair.
They don't have a lap in appointments. I never waited on my technician to finish a customer before me and the service is fast and and done right!! A very Clean space, warm in the winter and cool in the summer!!!!!!

I was looking for micro loc installation about 2.5 years ago. I was excited to come here for my consultation. I scheduled online for a consult with 2 strand twists--my everyday style that I DIY at home weekly. Because they want you to come with your hair free of style and product, I washed my hair the night before so she could evaluate my hair for microlocs. I fully expected her to wash again and style with twists. I believe the consultation was $25-35 but of course the 2 stand twists were another $90+. I was completely fine with that as I would be walking out with a style.

I pulled up to this long driveway and there were no cars in the driveway. Many of us have experienced this in the past, getting to a locked salon. I really thought this type of experience was in my past. You know... sitting in the car trying to remember if you had the wrong day or time. I expected a higher level of service at a place like this.

After 15 minutes a car drove in. I waited until she got out to make sure she was the stylist. When I saw her reach In the car for the laundry basket full of towels, I was reassured. She didn't even look in my direction to give me the familiar head knod to acknowledge me or simply okay me to come in. Like totally ignored me like I was the one that was late. Very awkward...I know she saw me. She drove past me to park closer to the door and this is a huge, private driveway with only our 2 cars.

When I walked in she didn't apologize for being late. She verified my name and told me to check in at the kiosk without any further instructions. And then asked me if I had been there before as I struggled to figure out how to work the device. She she showed me how to check in using what looked like an iPad on a stand.  Things went well from then onward. She measured my hair and did all the things. I had the quote. I was ready to book and we found a weekend she could install the microlocs.

A few days later I got a voicemail from someone (not the stylist) at the salon that said they could not accommodate me and are canceling my appointment. She gave me the name and number of another salon that I could try. Some place in Garner!!! SMH! Really? The place looked legit online but I wasn't going to Garner. This place was already way out the way.

No explanation! Nothing! This left a very bad taste in my mouth. I never would have wasted my time or paid for a consultation if they were just gonna cancel like that. And I paid $90+ for a style I could have done at home.

Not for you if you're expecting basic respect and reliability! Yes, I liked the twists. But I'm 2 years Locd and happy this place didn't want to service me.

Absolutely LOVED my experience at this salon!! TK took my appointment (LAST MINUTE) after 5pm.  I work in an office so getting to a salon is almost impossible, she was very accommodating and patient.  She thoroughly washed my hair, MASSAGED MY SCALP, she was gentle while retwisting my locs and was very sweet.  She made sure I was comfortable while I was under the dryer.  While styling my hair she made sure it wasn't pulled too tight, and she managed to get the style PERFECT!  I absolutely LOVE my hair.  I will be coming back with my mother and daughter to get our hair done by TK again!

Such a great experience!!! Stylus Dominique was very meticulous about designing my hair to my satisfaction. She took her time she did not rush and she did an awesome job!!!
She talked me through the entire process to make sure it was not too tight and  that there was no pulling of the  scalp. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED
