KJ & Kompany in Cedar Falls, IA

I have been going to Katie for over two years. I asked her to cut my hair with not a lot of length off, but to add layers. The cut she gave me made me look like a boy. And she did an eyebrow wax and they are uneven. I won't be going back to Kj And and won't recommend her.

Do not ever go here for hair extensions. There actual website only has nearly 5 stars because they only accept the ones with 4 or 5 stars.
I got my hair done last year and paid over $700 for hair extensions that looked like absolute garbage! I called and explained and they wanted me to come in and get it cut to see if that was better. They then charged me over $50 to cut it. The hair still looked so bad I had my mom take them out for me. I called requesting a refund. They told me I could not get a refund because they don't refund hair. They wanted me to come in and get them put back in by someone else. That would not have solved anything considering the "fake hair" was cut and thinned out etc aka ruined. The whole thing was an absolute disaster and I will never ever go back!!! Please go somewhere else.

The worst! Called to reschedule an appointmment. A day later they called to remind me of my appointment on the day I canceled. I called back and they said I wasn't on the schedule. Rescheduled, they called with a reminder again with the wrong date. I called back, they said I was not on the schedule. It happened a 3rd time. I even talked to the manage and she scheduled an appointment and when I called back I was told I was not on the schedule. To top it off the manager left a message saying I was a no call no show 3 times and would have to put down a $45-$50 deposit for an appointment. INSANE!!! In checking with other people that USE to go there they had the same experience. NEVER go Back! Very over priced! Better salons all over CF.

I went into the experience  very optimistic, wedding party events I know are a lot for those in this industry. My hairdo experience was stressful, but luckily another beautican stepped in to assist, the only downfall was my hair did not stay in place most of the night. The Bobbi pin were all showing and constantly popping out of place. I made them aware that my hair was very fine and didn't hold the best, so styling was key. I've had my hair done MANY MANY times for wedding updos and this was one of the least comfortable hairdos I've experienced.

Makeup went similar, I expressed what colors I prefered and the lady applying my makeup not once had me check in the mirror or show me color palette options. I even expressed who's makeup I liked in our bridal party prior.

I then ended up with a look I had to have her redo, which wasn't something I would normally do.

I then come to find out another makeup artist in the chair next to me was making fun of me to one of the other bridesmaids in my group  staying "does she even know anything about makeup." She also was making comments during my makeup process. I already had anxieties about this, and that made me more uncomfortable during this all.

For the price and lack of professionalism I would not recommend.

Other ladies in the part also said some of the other staff were rude and didn't acknowledge what they requested, otherwise just did what they wanted. Just very upsetting as these services aren't cheap.

Came in about a week ago for a style before attending a friend's wedding. The people who greeted me at the front weren't the nicest, but the service and my results absolutely made up for it! My stylist didn't charge me the full amount because I didn't require a shampoo, which I really appreciated. I'd definitely come back in the future!
