Worst customer service experience of my life. There are probably some friendly, communicative, and honest people who work at this salon but I didn't personally work with one of them. I've taken my business to another Aveda salon in the area and am very happy. Not only am I now being treated as a valued customer, I'm even being charged less for the exact same Aveda services by an advanced stylist.
Tara is BY FAR their best stylist. After going to her, the other stylists didn't really seem to satisfy. I went recently for a blowout and my stylist barely knew what that was. In addition to that, my appointment started late, and she seemed unable to curl my hair - even after using multiple tools. Before coming, I had been told a time frame, and when I got to the salon, the staff treated me rudely for expecting my hair to be done within that time. I left with basically the same hairstyle as I had come in with and STILL had to pay full price. Disaster.
I am in town for a month and just needed a quick eyebrow wax. Turned out Alli had a cancellation so I went ahead and had a partial haircolor, much needed by the way. I had a wonderful experience! Everyone was friendly as could be and the Alli was terrific! My highlight was one of the best (blonde) and eyebrows done very nicely too. The extra services made my experience very enjoyable!! A neck/shoulder massage, the ice neck pack in the Spa (fireplace, candles, comfy chairs), the hand massage, the scalp massage...I couldn't have asked for a more relaxing impromptu salon visit! I thought the cost was quite reasonable (under $100) for all. I'm here for work so if I come back, I will definitely book another appointment!
I went to Jiva today for my haircut and I've never had a better experience at a salon. When you walk in the door, you are pleasantly greeted by the receptionist. Immediately she asked if I wanted something to drink. I had Tara as my hairstylist today and she was AMAZING and such a friendly person. I love the quality of their service. Definitely would recommend anyone and everyone to go to Jiva!
I recently had a haircut with Sara. I have naturally curly hair and was looking for a stylist with experience and an understanding of how curly hair works and how best to cut it. Sara & Jiva were recommended to me by a friend who also has naturally curly hair.
Sara was AMAZING!! She is only the 3rd stylist I've found who 'gets it' when it comes to cutting curly hair.
The salon atmosphere is nice, I was greeted right away and offered a beverage. I also really enjoyed the shoulder & scalp massage that accompanied my haircut & style. I'll definitely be back & have already recommended Sara to others I know in the area with curly hair.
