Kingdom Spa in Middletown, DE

Nice people, but 24 hours after a gel mani pedi and they are peeling.  One whole nail peeled right off.  And I was speechless when they gave me the total of $125 for a gel mani/pedi.

This has been my go to place for a while. I've tried other salons in the area but always came back here. The problem I have is the inconsistency. Some times I love my nails other times I want to cry over how atrocious my nails look. Today was the latter. Jessica has always done a great job in the past but today for my 11am appointment I made in advance I didn't get inn her chair till almost noon. This is known about this place so I typically can only get my nails done when I don't have anything else to do that day. While doing what should have taken 30-45 minutes for my nails lasted 3 HOURS because she kept leaving to do other nails. I made an appointment why did the walk in she was multitasking with leave before me?
I'm a cuticle picker, I know it usually takes a little longer for my manicure due to the clean up of my cuticles. I always tip extra for that reason. Today when I noticed she skipped the cuticle clean up step I asked if she could do her best. She basically told me no and to just start using Vaseline on them. (I do) I said I will pay extra. She ignored me. I get my nails done FOR THIS REASON. That aside the shape is horrendous and I look like I have green bubbles on the ends of my fingers. If you're too busy to do quality work don't charge quality prices! I paid $70 for this

Since moving to Delaware,  I've been to quite a few nail salons in the Middletown/Townsend area and this is by far my favorite! Scott always does and amazing job with my nails. I've had other techs do my pedicure and they are great as well. They do try their best to decrease wait times and I appreciate that.

I went in for a walk-in and got seated in ten minutes. I was there for 2+ hours getting an acrylic and gel. It wasn't complicated, but it took forever and I had to go home and file my nails right away because most of them were crooked and uneven. I wanted to like them  they were very kind to me. There's just no good places in Dover so I thought Middletown would have some decent places.

I love this spa.  Now with that being said, I usually ALWAYS make an appointment.  Even when I make an appointment I still wait at least 35 - 45 minutes before my service begins.  They do a very nice job and I always leave there loving my nails, but as one reviewer said, if you don't have the extra time, go someplace else.  
The people there are very nice and will work with you to get what you want, but again, I feel like if I have any appointment, my service should start somewhere close to the time I make it.  If you make my appointment at 4 and you can't start my service until 4:40, then make my appointment at 4:40.
