Kim Sun Young Beauty Salon in Torrance, CA

Tried the Torrance location and wont he going back. Not only it is a poor haircut, but I'm now left with "bangs"? and whips of short hair sticking out at the top of my head. I had long straight hair. This will take years to grow back. The cut looks like it from the 1990s. Sweet stylist. Nice wash. Free parking lot was a breeze. And the entire salon was 100% empty. Nice experience but the cut was not as expected.

I went back to Kim Sun Young after years of being in a different city to have my hair dyed blonde for the first time. I used to have highlights done by my stylist who moved to another salon but decided to come back to have my hair dyed. The process took around 5 hours to bleach since I have dark Asian hair, but once it was finished I was happy with the color. The staff is friendly and it's easy to make an appointment if you need a last minute hair cut or color. Pricing is more than I usually pay since I'm low maintenance with my hair, but they're good with Asian hair and dark-colored hair. I probably will go back if I need to tone my hair, since I can bleach hair at home. Highly recommend.

Far over due review , been coming to them for years!!! My experience is always the same , excellent! I get the global keratin treatment and cuts, staff is very professional and kind .

And now they're telling me to take down my review because it's old? Not even an apology for my negative experience lol customer service is still the same after five years I guess.

I read all the reviews and my experience has always been great. Young Kim recently straightened my short hair and cut it exactly the way the picture looked. Very hard to do but done to perfection. Her husband was in the store as well but he greeted me with a smile and even gave me a care package of masks face shields and hand sanitizers. He was great to me!
