Hair Salon Ziva in Torrance, CA

Hi! It's me again. Hair grew, bangs grew. I came in for a bang trim and a C-curl blow dry. The haircut still looks great even after some length. Thanks again Hair salon Ziva! I did say I was spontaneous, but they usually get me to come in within the same day, but call ahead if you don't like to wait. They come to you quick. I did say I don't really pick any of their hairdressers. This time I was with Misun! She did great. I really trust everyone here. $60 for bang trim with blow dry styling. I know it's on the pricier side and I've been with them before when they were charging less, but it's still worth it to me.

This was my first visit. When I made the appointment I asked if anyone knew how to cut curly hair and they said yes. So I asked to book an appointment with that stylist for which I was not given a name! I get to the salon and they did not a stylist assigned to me so I ended up with Kay. Mind you this store is 99% Asian, I am not here to discriminate, but when Kay saw me she give the receptionist a smirk and said something in a different language and giggled! That was inappropriate because I definitely got the impression that they made fun of me. So we go to her station and Kay sends straight to wash my hair. No consultation on how I was wearing my hair ( which was curly) and what I wanted! So I get my hair washed and she finally asks me how I want my hair! I showed a picture of a curly angled bob. I specifically said that I wanted to wear this curly but occasionally I would straighten it. She cut and cut and thinned and cut some more, then proceeded to blow dry it and then flat ironed. Without asking if wanted it straight. Did not put any product, my hair is very thin. So I ended up with the second picture and I hated it!!! Not what I asked for it! I am scared to see how it will look when I style it curly!! Never again!!! Throughout my stay the stylist kept talking in a different language and laughing with other stylists, I sincerely felt discriminated against! She didn't even tried to sell me any of their products!

I got my hair done by Sarah and it was okay but not worth $70. By all means, the haircut isn't ugly but it isn't anything like what I asked for. I asked for long layers with some curtain bangs but I ended up with barely any layers at all, only slight ones. The cut seemed very rushed and she barely parted my hair to cut layers. At the end, they curled it normally rather than doing the blowout style which hid the end result. Maybe you need to be more specific or have a different stylist but I showed several pictures so I'm not sure.

My first visit to this salon was fantastic! The salon has a modern, clean, and relaxing atmosphere. The staff were all pleasant and friendly. Ms. ChoHee, my stylist, was professional, attentive, meticulous, and warm. I'll definitely be returning and can't wait to bring my mom and tell my friends about this salon. Thank you to Ms. ChoHee and the Hair Salon Ziva staff!

I made a reservation 6 weeks in advance with Cho hee, called her a week prior to my appointment to confirm, I drove all the way from San Diego to Torrance, My appointment was at noon n she was with another client after waiting for long time she came to me and she said that she doesn't feel good and she will have another stylist to do my hair!!! Then I saw her keep working on different clients at least 2 clients and for me she gave me that bullshit excuse. When I finished with my hair I pulled her to the side and informed her how rude she was for not taking me when I specifically made my appointment with her. Very disappointed very rude I don't know how all these five stars comes from!!
