Kato's Unisex Salon, LLC in New Windsor, NY

Usually I will go here when I'm in the area and always tip well for good service. I belive good service is the key to running a good buisness. I called today and asked how long they were open until just to double check because I haven't been around in awhile, and the lady who answered the phone was so rude to me. As a customer who has been there more then a few times and always tipped well I'm put off by this and will not be returning.

My husband goes to see Gina every week and will probably not let anyone else cut his hair. He hates keeping it short anyways, but more than that he hates getting it cut and it being done horribly. He has went to Gina about 4 times so far, and is completely satisfied with her work. I just recently went myself last week, and Tammy squeezed me in. I was so thankful. Not only did she take time to fit me into their busy schedule, she talked to me about my hair, the cut I was looking for and made suggestions as to what I should possibly try. I brought in a picture of a cut that was much shorter than I really wanted, but I couldn't find what I wanted. Tammy was able to help me keep some of the length of my hair, but I still left there feeling like my hair was MUCH more manageable! I haven't heard anyone complain about them, and was actually surprised to see some of the reviews here. When we first arrived here, my husband asked around about where the Marines here get their hair cut, and we were told over and over again to go to Clippers. Ps. This last time, when I got my hair done also. We had taken along our two toddlers. I was a neverous wreck when I realized my husband and I would both be in the chairs while our little girls were left to sit and behave. Tammy was very reassuring and helped keep an eye on them. The experience was everything I could have hoped of and more. The ladies there do a fabulous job & more than likely we will continue to be customers for the rest of our stay here in New York.

Horrible. Went in for very simple BLONDE highlights. Requested 2-3 foils. I am trying to blend in my gray for a natural look. Came out of there with a heavy highlight done in a dark brassy color! Just an awful waste of time and money. Did not listen and very slow. Now I must get this corrected.

In the search for my wedding hairstylist, two very good friends separately recommended Tammy at Clippers in New Windsor. Rightfully trusting their advice, I called and booked appointments with Tammy for a pre-wedding hair straightening 2 days before and for my girls and I on my wedding day. My hair is pretty tough to tame, but Tammy managed to get it the straightest it has EVER been. And when it came time for my wedding style, she hit it right on the mark. I gave her a picture and she replicated it exactly. My girls' hair also looked fabulous, I know they were very pleased. On top of all of that, the prices were beyond reasonable. I can think of a few salons that would have charged quadruple the amount for less quality. I couldn't have been happier with my experience at Clippers with Tammy. Highly, highly recommended.
