Jouli Nails in Bardstown, KY

I paid for the "deluxe pedicure" but it was subpar. Honestly I think I could've done the same thing quicker and cheaper at home. If this is your only option, they'll get the job done but if you have the chance I'd go elsewhere to spend the money.

I went in with a friend and they were not overly busy. We decided to wait since there was one person ahead of us. We waited over an hour and got up to leave. They stopped us and told us they could get us started. I had an appointment to get to so I went first. I got a mani/pedi with decorations on my big toe. The pattern I asked for was wispy flower, I got a "flower" made of like 20 dots. When I was done, they still hadn't started on my friend but I had to go. My friend said after I left, they put a customer in my chair without cleaning it. My friend was there over 3 hours for a pedi.

I've been getting pedicures for 30 years in several states. I return year after year once I discover a nail artist who does a good job. Today I received the absolute worst pedicure at Jouli of hundreds! My regular guy at another salon a few miles away is on vacation so I thought I'd try this salon as there was no availability at the regular place. Big mistake. An older man did a really bad job leaving my nails bleeding in several places. First of all, before I knew it he cut the corners away on both sides of my big toenails. I was taken aback as I know that encourages ingrown toenails. When questioned he stated he does that to prevent ingrown toenails. He said he has done that 1000s of times. Then he proceeded to try and cover that up by cutting my nails so short they are still bleeding. he doused them in alcohol and the stinging started. He did not file them and now I'm stuck with this and can't wait for my regular to return.

Just moved to the area and needed a new nail salon. My friend suggested this place and I actually love it way more than my old one. The staff was very friendly. The price is amazing compared to what I used to pay. I usually get acrylic and this time I got my nails dipped and I will never go back to acrylic again. The guy accidentally got to close to my skin with one of the sanders and my finger started bleeding a little. He took the time to stop the bleeding and clean it so it didn't get infected. This will be my new go to spot.

I had been going here for years and it's just gotten worse and worse. An older gentleman did my pedicure today. I'm a new first time mom to a newborn and it's my birthday weekend so I REALLY needed to relax.. anyways.. I sat down to a dirty pedicure bowl. Gunk and build up on it all. Chairs didn't massage. Blue sanitation stuff wasn't added until the middle of my pedicure. Toe nails not trimmed very much, had to ask to trim more. Didn't get ingrown toenails. Nails not filed. Didn't remove cuticles or trim the skin around the top of the nail. Didn't buff the nail. Didn't use the exfoliating brush. He scrubbed my feet so hard and fast with the pumice stone that the stone came out of his hand 5 times. Did a poor job removing my calluses and still left Half of them. My feet are now burning after. (Edited to add its 24 hours later and my feet are STILL BURNING!) Before trimming my nails he smacked someone else's toe nails out of the toenail clipper and sprayed alcohol on them.... didn't massage feet at all. No lotion even put on my feet. Put lotion on my legs in a couple swipes but didn't massage them either. When using the pokey tool to go around my nails to clean them out he got the first 3 big toes and didn't even do the last 2. Spent more time painting my nails than the entire pedicure. I told the lady doing nails in the first chair about my experience in a kind way and she said "thanks for the constructive criticism" and apologized. It's not constructive criticism, he didn't preform half of the service, and what he did do was poorly done. This is the last time I will be going there. Not worth the $25, and unsanitary. The lady next to me was getting her pedicure done by a young lady and seriously it took the same amount of time for her to get her ingrowns, trim her nails, and file her nails as the entire pedicure took for me. I'm left extremely sad  and upset instead of relaxed.
