Jewel is an excellent business person! She has many styles and colors of wigs to purchase as well as hair extensions. She dyed my hair at the end of the day, last minute! I even showed up a bit early and we got started early! It was so nice! I highly recommend Jewel's Salon and Beauty to anyone.

I frequent this salon to typically have a silk press and trim done, but they offer a wide variety of services and products. The owner is lovely, and her prices are very reasonable. Definitely recommend this business to anyone looking for both short and longer term hair care!

Ive been getting extensions (micro bead) for over a year. Jewel has the best pricing and friendliest customer service! This is a family business. Her daughters work there and sometimes if you get there on a certain day, you'll see her son Lil shout out to Amanda G. Post from 9 months ago.. Thanks for the negative review. That's why I contacted Jewel. I noticed her placement of the links and knew she had good technique! She has been my extensions for some time now and I have NEVER had a problem! Extensions must be properly combed, washed and wrapped in order to maintain the hair. I'm blown away by all the negative reviews!! ‍ they didn't even give the stylist a chance to fix the problem. It's a shame that people are so cowardly and attack a business online instead of working it out. This is an honest review. I have not been paid or compensated. If you're interested in extensions and want fair pricing along with a family oriented business... GIVE THIS ESTABLISHMENT A CALL.. you won't be disappointed

DO NOT GET YOUR HAIR DONE BY JEWEL, at Jewels Hair Salon in Lakewood!!! I was originally looking to get my hair micro beaded, with single strands. When calling around she seemed to be the first one available, so I took it! I went in with my own hair, thinking that she was going to cut it into strands and thread it in with the beads, which is why I agreed to the price of $400... to have a full head of professional microbeads. I didn't know that she was doing a micro bead "sew in" especially for only two rows!! not even 20 beads!!! Not only did I have to go back a few days later because the length of the weave was too long and I did not have enough hair coverage, so when I went back she cut about 2 inches off, which I'm pretty sure was the cause of the whole thread completely falling out, 2 1/2 weeks later! When I called her and let her know how disappointed I was of the services, she told me that no, it was just time for my "touch up" after 3 weeks! Microbeads should last anywhere between six to eight weeks, before touch up.. when I went in, she told me she had never seen anything like this and suggested that I did something to make the thread come out and then she tried to charge me another $50 to redo the top row! Then to top off her "professionalism" she told me that if it was any other black owned hair salon and I tried to go back and say they messed up my hair, they would have called me the B*word and slam the door in my face and not have helped me! so she's putting other businesses down to make herself seem as she's a better hairstylist... which is not okay! And then talking to other hairstylist, they told me that they would probably only charge me $150 to $200 for 2 rows of single strand microbeads! DO NOT LET THIS LADY TAKE ADVANTAGE AND RIP YOU OFF!!!!

Jewell is awesome! I called Jewel, for an appointment last minute, hoping she could squeeze me in some how. Thank goodness... She did for later that day. I had passed by her shop many times in the past and thought I'd give her a try. I requested a blunt inverted bob style, as my former stylist didn't quite cut it it right, and had hoped Jewell could fix it and re-shape it. Well, I must say, she ROCKED MY CUT!! I LOVED IT!. She isn't scissor-happy either, and cut what I requested. Jewell was friendly, personable, and most of all TALENTED. I brought a photo so she could see exactly what I wanted. I would recommend that you do the same so both of you are on the same page and you're not disappointed. Throughout the cut, she asked for my opinion. Jewell was open to my input, and made my recommended adjustments. My experience was great! I would highly recommend Jewell as a stylist. I'm kinda picky with my cuts, and I was very pleased with the end results. She did a great job. I also got my brows done. They looked great. Lol - I was a new person when I left the salon... I didn't have to go thru the messy wax that's often painful. She trimmed them up, and they look great. I'm very, very pleased with my overall new look. Give her a call. She hooked: me up. I will be making an appt for my next trim / cut. Thank you Jewell! I absolutely love my hair cut. You rock girl!!!
