JCPenney Salon in Eatontown, NJ

I've been to this store many times and spent a lot of my hard earn money. I came in to EXCHANGE a product that was RECOMMENDED to me by an employee who colorIQ me. After using the product and noticing that I was ORANGE when I went outside I was totally beside myself. I tried to make it work because I didn't want to return it, btw I've NEVER returned anything to them. So I come I'm and they look up my purchase and she was also, nice enough to find my CORRECT color. But once i got to the counter her tune completely changed she asked her coworker what she should do and she told her make ur own judgement. That was fine with me i wasn't RETURNING anything just swapping out for the CORRECT shade. But since it was past 2mths she wasn't able to help me. My next question was so I'm supposed to walk around orange?? Her smart remark was a shoulder shrug. I was absolutely disgusted! I told her to just throw the product out and walked out empty handed. I would never again shop here or any other Sephora if this is what customer service is to them.

I admit it: I'm a 25 year old woman who has never gone into Sephora before. Until now anyway. I am a creature of habit and stick with what I know and like so I never had any reason to venture in that shop. I went in there during a quiet part of the evening, there were no customers that I could see aside from myself. While it was nice looking at and testing things on my own, I was surprised that none of the employees offered to help me or ask me questions. Most shops at the mall if you even so much as look in their direction while in another store shout across the room asking if you need assistance lol. As I was checking out, the cashier was quiet and seemed somewhat disinterested however I did think it was incredibly nice of her to offer me a free, small "birthday" sampler even though my birthday was several months ago.

I had bought Marc jacobs remarcable foundation and it was exploded in the box, which is fine it happens. Go to buy it at this sephora and they've did not have it. They said they could order it to me and sent to my house as I have done before through sephora. Everytime I ask a question to the cashier she got snippy with me as if I was suppose to know exactly what she was doing. My boyfriend even stated to me after that he though that she was going to "snap" on me. She said that it would take til the 28th for me to get my item after I had to ask again. It seemed weird to me and I didn't believe her because sephora shipping doesn't take that long. I left annoyed with my interaction go home and see that sephora shipping standard is 3-4 days I call and inquire about this. The sale girl picked up and immediately started raising her very ice saying "we do not handle that you have to call the 1800 number" I wasn't asking about her handling anything I was confused why the website and the store are telling me two different things. she continues to yell and I say if I knew this I would have to deal with you and she hung up on me. I called back and a much much nicer woman answered and answered all my questions. I then saw my confirmation email and saw that it was ordered through JCpenny which I am NOT okay with and was never told once that this is how sephora pop up stores work. I have called jcpenny customer service for my money back on my Sephora card and to cancel the order, but no one seems to "want" or "can" help me. I will NEVER go to this Sephora and I will NEVER go to a JCpenny ever again period.

I used to work at this mall, not the Sephora store, and I would spend a lot of my days going and shopping there. Their service is always shorthanded or full of people trying to avoid you. I've ever only had two people there that were really helpful to me; one was a district manager, and the other was a girl that while hesitant to do a makeup session for me did a great job being professional and polite. I can't say that about all their employees however. I went in one day with my the bf to do some shopping and try some bronzers. These two girls, the only ones working at the time, couldn't be any less helpful if they tried. They were bottle blondes, covered in fake tan, gross looking snooty bitches that were just talking in the corner as far away from us as possible. You can say we weren't greeted. So I walked over because I had a question about a bronzer I was looking for and they both SIGHED at me! Sighed! Seriously? One of the girls, who didn't even answer my question, just started walking over to the bronzers I was looking for and pointed at the display. I started to browse the area, and she just mumbled something and just walked away before I could say or ask anything else. So helpful. So I looked for a bit and had yet another question, and reluctantly went over to the two girls in the corner again and asked them about something else. They were both giving me the shittiest stares even though they were just laughing and talking to each other moments before. It's not like they're having bad days, they just have bad attitudes. This time the same girl came and stuck around for a few minutes and helped me with some swatches. Then as soon as I said thanks she 180'd it back to her coworker. I didn't realize doing your job was such an inconvenience that needed to be rushed, especially since literally no one else was in the store. I bought what I came there for, and thankfully some other girl showed up to check us out. Anyways, I had never felt so insulted before, being treated so poorly by such a snooty bitch, in front of my bf of all people. i hope they get fired for the way they act.
