JCPenney Salon in Council Bluffs, IA

I showed up at this Sephora and found out that it is no longer standing. It was supposed to be inside the JC Penny's and has been removed from the building. I'm not sure why they haven't taken it off of Maps or Yelp.

I'm one of 'those people' who feel like it's odd to have loyalties to a chain store, but shopping at the Council Bluffs Sephora is just *so pleasant*.  They're a bit smaller than other locations, but 1) those locations are far away 2) the staff are always so lovely, knowledgeable and friendly (without being over-the-top or put-on). I'm generally pretty impressed with Sephora employees, who almost always seem (genuinely) happy to be working there, but every time I've gone to this one it's like they're ready to play and give tips and have fun.  I'm not actually a regular make-up wearer, so I really appreciate that they make it so comfortable to ask questions and get advice...like 'I am a 31 year old woman, I am doing mascara wrong please help me'.  My last big shop there was around my birthday (March), and I went in to try and get help figuring out my skin tone and best colors.  The employee who greeted me apologized for being new, but then immediately explained their new (then) Color IQ scanner device in detail and knew exactly how to use it (with the database, too).  I am trying for the life of me to remember her name.  Stefanie?  I really should have done this in March, I AM SORRY.

Anyway, smaller Sephora but just a comfortable and fun place to browse and shop.

Sephora.  The one store that my wife drags me to more often than none.  She picked up a few things while I followed her like a sheep in a herd.

This Sephora is inside JC Penney's.  The associates are always inviting, nice, and friendly and are always willing to answer questions or help with anything, which is a nice touch.

The prices are just like any other Sephora, pretty high but you know that before going into the store.  the only bad thing about this particular store is that its not considered a full-blown Sephora store, so they don't get in some items that the other Sephora stores get in and some coupons and deals can't be used there.

Other than that, the store is always organized and clean and the employees are always friendly.

Limited selection but gals are nice. I never have a problem being helped here. Abbey has always been very knowledgeable about the products and a delight to work with.
