JCPenney in Flint, MI

I went to JCPENNEY at Genesee Valley Mall around 4pm today. My first impression is OMG this place is filthy. Outside the door I went in on Linden rd side there was papers, dirty mask and just filth blowing around. The doors were so dirty I didn't even want to touch them. Inside the vestabul was just as filthy. Under the bench that sits there are leaves that you can tell have been their since fall. I did find some deals on clearance shorts for my Grandson. I need a dress for my son's wedding the selection is nothing like they had in 2019. I understand Covid has impacted all industry Just keep the place clean. I wish I would of took pictures. I have to return a shirt. I'll update with pictures.

Came to buy a dress shirt or two, but instead left frustrated without buying anything. Very little traffic, but no associates assisting or straightening out in this department. The same exact products in different spots with contradictory price information. Best example (one of many) is the shirt in the picture. Is it $12.99 each, or $40 bogo-half-off? Only reason the score isn't lower is because other departments I passed through looked better.

I really used to like that store, however, I was in there looking for a comforter. Looked on the clearance rack and found a set the price seemed very high and I asked the salesperson to please find he price. She said this was a return from a catalog purchase and I could buy it for the same price on line. I asked why is this in the 50-70% off clearance area when it isn't clearanced. She said that's what the manager told her to put it. So they are deceiving customers. There clearance items aren't necessarily clearanced. I am pretty sure there are laws to protect consumers from this type of scam. I will not go there again and I will get rid of my charge card.

What ever you do DON'T BUY APPLIANCES HERE! They charged me for a wall oven that was ordered by Sales person (wrong size) ordered and received right size but no refund on wrong one. BEEN trying to get my $900 BACK since June and no luck. THEY won't refund it!! WTH I sent it back Warning!!!

There is really nothing special about this location. Majority of the stock can be found on the floor rather than the racks. Make sure you put aside at least 20 minutes on a slow day for check out lines. During busier days like Black Friday, you're looking at more than hour and half just in line. Workers here aren't particularly in a helpful mood. If you're able to pull one away from chit chatting from a fellow worker and not get attitude...consider it as your good luck.
