JAGGER | JAMES SALON in Hagerstown, MD

I'm very disappointed in the customer service here, to the point that I will not use them again. Here's what happened: my friend and I had been having our hair cuts done for a few years by Brittany at another salon. She's very good and I was happy to see her thrive even though she decided to move to JJ salon. We followed her there even though I had qualms about the salon after seeing the pompous and self-congratulatory look of the website. The prices are considerably higher than what we were used to paying but still, we knew we would get good cuts and dyes from Brittany. My friend missed an appointment - her fault, she agrees. She called four minutes away from the salon at her next appointment to apologize and say she was on her way. The receptionist said she would have to make another appontment but before that my friend would have to pay $260.00 to reimburse the salon for two missed appointments. Let me say that again, she was four minutes away and they wanted $260.00 before they would deign to see her. This is ridiculous. The salon is not in LA or NY - not even DC. If they can get over themselves and correct their bad customer treatment I would go back. As it is, I'll miss Brittany's good cuts but I won't indulge that kind of bad behavior.

I've gotten my hair cut there for years and not once have I gotten a bad one. It's expensive but completely worth it.

Coming from a guy who rarely likes a haircut I get, Brandon from Jagger James absolutely blew me away! Right as I walked in, I felt like a VIP guest. He didn't simply cut my hair, but provided an entire experience, and customized my cut specifically for my head shape and desired look. From now on, I won't let anyone touch my hair except Brandon! I highly recommendt!

So I tried scheduling an appointment. The receptionist booked one and told me that I have to come in for a consultation, which I get. Days later, she calls me and reschedules the consultation, then I get confused, and I missed my consultation appointment by accident. The receptionist tells me I have to pay 30 dollars to reschedule a consult ???? I have gotten my hair done in the best salons In North New Jersey/ NYC area and have never had to pay for a consultation appointment or cancelation fee of one. I could understand paying a missed apt. Fee if I missed an appointment that is taking a lot of the stylist's time, but a consult!!! It's such a pity that a high-end looking salon would look so cheap and money-hungry. Oh well, they lost a high maintenance client that's usually in the salon at least 3 times per month for being greedy.

Brandon did a fantastic job with my haircut. Everyone I met at the salon was professional and it was clear they maintain a higher standard than most places in the area. I will be back!!!!
