I had an amazing experience at J Roberts salon and excellent hair cut with Alexia. I was visiting from California but I'm originally from Roanoke. I came in not loving my hair and needing a refresh in shape and more volume. I'm also particular about my side swept long bangs. She gave me the perfect cut and was exactly what I was wanting. Best haircut I've had in a long time! The salon is beautiful, very clean and they are also doing a great job with Covid safety precautions. If you are looking for a modern, beautiful haircut I highly recommend this salon- they are very talented.
Jim is extremely knowledgeable and I am very sad that I did not see him for a haircut until right before I moved away from Roanoke. He is kind, professional, and takes time at the start of every appointment to consult with you and really understand what you want. I visited him for a quick trim in March and then highlights in May. He was very thorough with the highlights and super reasonable on the price. I'm sure it's on the higher end for highlights in Roanoke, but I was really expecting more! Jim has a lot of experience and I felt I could trust him with the job of doing my color for my wedding day. I am so pleased with the results. It looks just how I wanted - natural - and I've gotten many compliments on it. To top it all off, visiting the salon was very enjoyable because the space is clean, stylish, and has eclectic music. I always felt like I was in a larger city like Richmond when I was there. Definitely visit J Roberts Salon if you are in Roanoke and looking to change up your look!
When I moved to Roanoke 3 years ago I was nervous about finding someone to style my hair. My stylist in San Diego knew Jim and highly recommended him and THANK GOODNESS! I trust Jim with my hair and I highly recommend him and the J Roberts Salon team. They are professional, friendly and reasonably priced - I couldn't ask for a better experience. I've had terrific stylist in New Orleans, San Diego, NYC and now Jim in Roanoke, VA. Roanoke is so lucky to have him. Please do not hesitate to trust Jim with your styling - you will be very pleased!
Absolutely phenomenal experience! They know how to please: Magnificent. I went to have my eye brows waxed, they were always thread, and this by far was the best eye brow experience. The process didn't hurt at all, I truly was dozing off in the chair (Love ya Marissa!) The receptionist is so cute and pleasant, handshakes and water offered, and one of the owners I seen had great energy, "The best brows in Roanoke right there!" LOL! I will definitely be back & spread the positive word.
Maggie is awesome. She is always learning the latest techniques and gives honest opinions. I always leave loving my cut. Plus she is fun and personable. The new salon has a great atmosphere.
