I patronized this business on four occasions. First was with a haircut by a master stylist. It was okay. Nothing to write home about, just average. The second time I patronized was with an apprentice. She did a great job on the blowout and it was only $25! I tipped $20 because I was so happy with the service, for a total of $45. The third time I came back, I got someone new for a blowout. Did an amazing equivalent job. Before I was told the price, I tipped $20 again, assuming it would be $25, but the price jumped to $50. I was told this after I had tipped and gotten the service, so I paid a total of $70. The fourth time I booked an appointment with the apprentice. Again tipped over 20% and planned on just using her from then on. I needed to reschedule for today and booked with someone new. I assumed it would be $25 or $50 and I would just tip accordingly. When I arrived stylist told me it's $65. I asked why? She said she was a master stylist. I said, but that's what I was told when I paid $50, and she said that was for a mid level stylist. I walked out because I don't like being told a different price every time I walk in the door and this not being appropriately explained. If you are going to the same stylist you can know what to expect, I guess, but I don't like feeling like I'm experiencing a bait and switch. I feel like price changes should be discussed when scheduling the appointment so customer doesn't feel blindsided.

Well I feel pampered and educated after my haircut at Iva Bella! I literally had my hair cut and styled moments ago by Justin. He was absolutely fabulous and informative. He was well educated on the products that he was using in my hair. He explained what each product did, and had no problem sitting with me before we even got started to get a feel for my hair and its current state. Not only that, but I didn't feel rushed or feel like he just needed to get to his next client. He completely brought out the extroverted side of me and we had a wonderful conversation throughout my entire time. He was absolutely wonderful, and the salon is gorgeous! And if there was one thing that I truly loved, which is usually the thing I hate most, is there was no pressure to buy products. He completely understood that I already had a set hair care regime due to my mild case of alopecia. Again, if there is one thing that I cannot stand when I go to a hair salon, is feeling like I am dealing with a car salesman. Not everyone can just buy products that are in a hair salon so I greatly appreciate not feeling any kind of pressure. Thank you so much to Justin for making me feel beautiful and giving me a wonderful wonderful haircut. I highly recommend the salon if you are in the Warrenton, VA area.

Asked if I wanted to look at another day and I said no thanks, I am trying to get it done today. She said let me see if I can get an apprentice to do it and I said no thank you and she slammed down the phone. no thank you for calling, Nothing. Just bad customer service.
