I called to cancel before my appointment but before I cancelled, she left me a voicemail/text stating she was ill and could not make it. Which I have sympathy for and understand. Now, about a month and a half later or so, I text her to see if she does "balayage" and she said yes. So we figure out a decent day/time to meet. The day of my appointment, I drive 30 minutes to see her but on my way, I was literally stuck behind a train but managed to call her and text her about this before my appointment time. (Which was set at 12PM/noon.) At this point, I assumed she received my texts/missed call/voicemail regarding my situation and that I was indeed on my way to see her. So I get there and call/text her because don't know where to go. And I wait 30 minutes and receive no response. Now I'm upset because I thought she was ignoring me! And I thought it was my fault because of the train situation! But looking back, she should have called or texted me to let me know what was going on, despite my situation. I was really looking forward to seeing her for the first time since I've heard wonderful things about her.

Still can't believe how unprofessional this hair stylist is! What a terrible experience today! I booked the appointment online through her online booking system, after which she confirmed the appointment. I booked it several days in advance - so it was not a short notice booking. My appointment was supposed to be at 11 am. I didn't have a car today, so I took a bus which took me 40 min one way. Arrived at 11 am, her "suite" is locked, no one is there. I waited for 30 minutes, called her cell phone - her voice mail box is full. She never called back, never texted, never emailed to explain or apologize or reschedule. Jennifer. It doesn't matter how good of a hair stylist you are (which makes me really doubt you are a good one), but you cannot be so utterly unprofessional, rude, and inconsiderate of your customers. At least, you could have picked up your phone and apologized. I wasted 3 hours of my day because of you. And based on previous reviews, this is not the first time, not even the second time, it happens. But i wanted to give you a chance anyway. Very VERY disappointing.

I am extremely disappointed with Jennifer after an experience yesterday. I was a returning customer. I went to her once before. Although she did a wonderful job on my hair, she was running over an hour behind schedule this first time. But I did ultimately have a good experience even in spite of this once she got to my hair. I thought that she deserved the benefit of the doubt when I pulled into the parking lot and called her and she told me she needed to reschedule because she was running behind. But my experience with her today was completely avoidable and unacceptable on her part. I scheduled an appointment for Dec 15 2015 for my mom and I. This was going to be my Christmas gift to my mother. I raved about Jennifer and her salon after my initial outcome with her, and wanted her to have a great first experience with Jennifer. So my mom and I get to her new location and go to the door for our 11am appt. It is locked. I call Jennifer. No answer. I call again. No answer. It is now 5 minutes after 11. I text and say we are here, but the door is locked. And then she finally responds over text message (after ignoring my calls, most likely to avoid confrontation) and says that she needs to reschedule because there was a plumbing issue. And then I asked her why she didn't inform us of this earlier and that we drove 30 minutes to be there. Rather than owning up to a mistake on her part, she comes back with a whole slue of excuses that she was in the salon until 2 last night, then had to take her son to school at 8 and then she fell asleep before she could send us a message to let us know she needed to reschedule because she was so tired. This is unprofessional. So the second time in a row, she has had to reschedule and has failed to inform me before I made the 30 min drive to her salon. There is no excuse for this. It would have taken 20 seconds for her to send a quick email or text to let us know that she needed to reschedule. And when I expressed this disappointment to her in a text message (since she kept ignoring my phone calls), I also failed to get any sort of response or action on her part. Although I'll admit my msg was a bit short (I told her exactly what I am saying here, and I did apologize after the fact if I hurt her feelings), but this is a VALID reason to be angry with her. Her text message was full of typos and looked as if it had been thrown together with very little care as to how she was coming across. If she would have given the time of day to make a phone call and explain everything in person and apologize, this outcome could have been different and I would not be writing this negative review. She did not even ANSWER my calls to explain in person. She let it go to voicemail even though she was sitting right by her phone because she was responding to every text. You just don't do this to clients when you run a business. And here I raved to my mom about how good she was. It ruined our day, and after Jennifer's text message and ignoring my phone calls, my mom was so disappointed and said she refused to reschedule and that I shouldn't return to her either after that. And I now agree after the way she has handled this ordeal. She did offer 30% discount for this, which was a kind gesture (and she offered a free gift the time before to make up for the first time too), but saving $40 isn't what I cared about. What would have been much appreciated would have been for her to NOT ignore my calls--maybe even call me--and take the time to explain everything in person and apologize for her mistake. Jennifer may be talented. And she is a perfectionist, which is evident from her wonderful job on my hair. But she lacks professionalism. What this experience told me as a client was that I am not important and that she does not respect my time. I am frustrated with her horrible lack of communication and professionalism in this ordeal, and I would not trust her when I actually needed my hair done for an event or something of that sort. Completely unreliable. I will be finding a new hairstylist when I return to the Northeast after Christmas. Who knows, maybe I have just been unlucky--maybe other clients haven't experienced this. But I thought it necessary to share this trend in my experiences as a client. Talented hairstylist, but unprofessional.

After reading such high quality reviews, I was intrigued by this salon and scheduled an online appointment through the company website. Working Mon - Fri, the closest appointment I could schedule was one 3 weeks away on a Saturday, which happened to fall on Halloween. I arrived at the location 5 minutes early and no one was in the office. I waited for 30 minutes before leaving. I tried calling several times, which just referred me to voicemail. Obviously all salons were booked by then so as a last resort, I ended up going to a cost cutters. I have since tried to call on several occasions, leaving a call-back number with the intent of rescheduling, none of which have been returned. Needless to say, I am extremely disappointed at the entire situation. This is not the level of professionalism I would expect from such a business.
