The moment you walk in the door you know it's going to be a good experience. The salon is very bright and airy yet each station is private. I was lucky enough to get an appointment with Crystal who not only gave me a perfect haircut but now I want to adopt her! What a personality! Should you find yourself in SLO and in need of a haircut- call Indie Salon. You won't be disappointed.

Well, I scheduled an appointment with Madison Bonn and my goal was to transition from dark brown hair to my natural gray. Madison conducted a thorough consultation consisting of my hair, texture, and existing color. She recommended that we begin with caramel highlights to my hair and highlight it in stages to avoid damage. We did just that. She was so professional and explained what she was doing to my hair throughout the process. She was attentive to my needs. The finished product was epic and I did schedule another appointment in two weeks as I look forward to the next phase. If you are looking for a new style and/or color, please contact Madison. I debated writing this review because I don't want my stylist to get booked up, but her work needs to be praised. Cheyenne Garcia (SaltyBronde on IG) is a freaking hair magician. My hair was a disaster before I met her and the magic that she has worked is a solid 10/10. Each time I leave her chair I'm in love with what she does and I leave with so much more confidence. I kind of give her an idea of what I like but each time I let her take over and let her do her thing and I have zero regrets. She makes you feel at ease ( high anxiety girl here) is incredibly sweet and funny and never makes conversations feel awkward. If she starts to book out too far I'll return here and change my review...kidding. Promise you won't regret booking with her.

I made the best choice of my life setting up a consultation with Crystal at Indie Salon. After receiving a botched job from another salon I was feeling hopeless and at my very lowest, thinking my only resort at this point was to shave my head! Not only was Crystal friendly but sympathetic to how I was feeling and eager to help me. Crystal set me up with an appointment the very next day and to my utter amazement was able to restore my hair color to my original color, actually better color! and the condition is super amazing! I could not be happier and more pleased. Crystal is amazing and very professional at what she does and it shows in her work! I could not have found a better colorist than her! I highly recommend her work and her personality is equally amazing! She quickly made me feel comfortable and confident in her judgement. She is definitely a keeper and I will only be choosing Crystal for all my hair needs. Thank you Crystal!

Cheyanne Garcia: Always literally nails it. My daughter half my age has been saved from too many "boxed" bleach jobs she made me do to save $$. No generation gap/communication issues! I'm pushing 60 & daughter is early twenty-something & Cheyannes talents, professionalism, humor & wisdom beyond her years entertains us. She doesn't dominate conversation; but, certainly entertains & helps pass the time in the chair-which is sometimes arduous! Cannot say enough about Cheyanne. Ditto on Maddee F's review below; I couldn't of said it better. For both cut & color she surpasses those higher-priced LA & NYC salons. You can even be brave like I was and don't say anything about what you ant & TRUST that she'll give you the perfect makeover. I wish I did before & after photos from the beginning. I do have photos from today though. For my 27th wedding anniversary; I'm feeling pretty special. My daughter is joining us & had Chryanne's magic touch 3 weeks ago & is still looking very naturally beautiful. Cheyannes character and peer advice has helped my daughter too. I told Cheyanne she should be a psychiatrist!-lol!
