Nicki was amazing! She was very thorough and had me try on a variety of styles until I found one that made me feel like ME (she actually picked it out). She educated me on how to care for my wig so that it lasts for years. My self esteem got a tremendous boost. I can't recommend Nicki and Image Maker Salon enough.

I have lost nearly all of my hair due to being very sick from COVID-19 a few months ago. I am embarrassed by this (mortified might be a better way to put it), and I was trying to cheer myself up and look decent again, maybe even a little cute. I made an appointment, paid the $39 to try on some of their wigs. There were very few choices; perhaps a total of 25-30, most were synthetic. The person who tended to me seemed to be nice enough, but was less than helpful. She clumsily put on the stocking cap (which kept coming off), offered no suggestions, made no comments. She did instruct me on how to put a wig on. I tried on 4 wigs. One of them actually looked okay, so I started to take a photo of it. From the room next door, a woman comes over, puts her hand in front of my phone's camera lens, and says, "We don't do that here." I literally have a pic of her hand. I asked what and why, but all I got was, "We don't do that here." again and again. I am not sure what she thought I was trying to do, but I felt insulted and belittled. My time and money wasted. I would suggest going somewhere, anywhere else.

What a lovely experience my mother and I had here today. We were very lucky when we called to get an appointment and that there was something available same day. We are shopping for a wig due to upcoming chemo treatments and the hair loss that will accompany that. Nicki was so polite, genuine and thoughtful in everything that she told us. This was a first for my mother and me and Nicki put us right as ease. She took her time educating us on the various types of wigs, their construction, and some basic styling tips. We did not feel rushed or pushed into buying anything. After an hour and a half we left the store without making a purchase but Nicki has her notes for what we liked style wise and colors so when we go back we can order exactly what we tried on. Given the sensitive nature of hair loss, I would recommend this studio for anyone who is in the market for a wig for hair loss due to chemotherapy or any other type of medical condition. My mother and I were expecting a much more difficult experience but we actually ended up having a lovely time and enjoyed ourselves.

I recently took a friend to this salon because she was/is interested in having her hair styled in a way that she can care for it at home. She also wants a wig in the same style that she can wear if she isn't up to styling her hair. Both of us are older women, certainly not looking for a wig for giggles. The moment we went into this salon, the older lady who runs the place demanded to know why we wanted to try on a wig and when my friend did not explain well, she told her that she couldn't try on a wig. I explained the situation and she continued to be rude to us until I told my friend that we should have gone somewhere else. At that time, she eased up a bit, but was still quite abrupt and continued to be rude and condescending. She was also pushing my friend to purchase a wig. Frankly, the purchase of a $300 to $450 wig is not something that should be done without giving it some thought. My friend asked me to try on one and the lady immediately said that I could not try one on. As I told my friend after we left, if she had the best prices and the best wigs in town, I would not buy from her because of her attitude. My best advice to anyone is to avoid this salon if you want to be treated decently.
