i had a wonderful experience when i went to get my hair done. great job hot springs beauty college!

Do NOT go here if you want vivid colors. I found out from former students that they do not have the right chemicals to do this. The instructor, Jessie, said they could do bright red, but they didn't even come close. When she asked me how I liked it, I told her it is even red. She tried to blame it on my hair and that it was too dark to start with. I showed her pictures of a friend of mine that went elsewhere a couple weeks prior whose hair went from black to hot red. I told her that couldn't be it because her hair was darker than mine. She then found a reason to touch up the cut that the student did in which she butchered my hair. She cut holes in my hair and then cut the top third of my hair into one hard layer. I had to cut it all off at the first layer causing me to lose 14 inches in length. I asked for a 5 inch trim with long soft layers. I went from waist length hair to shoulder length. Either Jessie, the instructor, is the worst beautician in Hot Springs or she butchered my hair on purpose and needs to be charged with assault. Either way, it makes you wonder why she is still working there.

I am a guy, but my wife and i have been coming here for years .
Jessie, the teacher (owner?) is on top of it with the customer service .
It is a learning facility , so experience will vary some ,but i would definitely recommend.

My sister and I came to get the Empress package: mani, pedi, shampoo, cut, blowdry/style. After the horrible shellac manicure, my sister didn't end up getting anything else and it cost her $25 and was atrocious, my mani and pedi were done by the time she had her mani and decided to leave, so I finished the package since I only needed a trim. My pedi was horrible, she didn't have to clip any nails, she only had to file 2 nails and I had no nail polish on, the lady used a stiff brush on the top of my feet which was painful and about 1 min on the bottom of the feet. There was no foot massage, hardly any work done except painting the nails which took almost 40 min! The hand massage went about the same but with a little more cuticle work needed, when she couldn't get my cuticle cut with the scissors, SHE FILED THEM WITH A NAIL FILE!!! This was so painful!!! Yet again, the polish took 45 min, and burned because my skin was so torn up! She massaged my hands for maybe 20 seconds and that was that! So now I've been worked on for almost an hour and a half, which is apparently normal, and my hair was a simple trim that took an hour. What upsets me the most is that an instructor reviews the work and thought this was acceptable! Not to mention that the nail polish wasn't even dry when I went to bed that night and most had been messed up when I went grocery shopping over 4 hours after leaving the place, and the nails that hadn't been messed up were ruined from still not being dry when I went to bed! I messaged the place and they want my sister and I to come back and say they'll make sure we're with some more experienced students, well, with work schedules, getting kids watched, and the ridiculous amount of time needed to go to the beauty college, going back for a redo isn't an option. No discount, no coupon for a later visit, nothing! $55 down the drain and a week later and my cuticle still is nowhere near healed and constantly hurts! DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME OR MONEY HERE!!!

A great place to get you hair washed and styled.  Great teachers that help the students.  I love my hair stylist. Go in and ask for Megan.
