Honey Nails & Spa in Richmond, VA

I originally had a great experience coming here for fill-ins after a different salon gave me a full set I wasn't too fond of. HOWEVER, I finally came back for a fresh full set from them and hated it within the WEEK I GOT IT. I do not trust that they use the proper monomer, nor do they sanitize their equipment from what I can tell. I really don't get acrylic nails often, but every other place I have been to never RIPPED OFF MY CUTICLES, my HEALTHY cuticles. Usually cuticles get pushed back, and at first I just thought she was trimming dead skin off the edges BUT NO IT WAS MY WHOLE CUTICLE-LIVE SKIN. It's honestly torturous now because they are trying to grow back in, but the slightest bump of my hand will make them get enflamed :) I had a nail break off not even a week into having my full set-which for me I can make a full set last 3 weeks MINIMUM, and I've actually always had a HARD TIME taking nails off because they won't budge. Not even within two weeks I had three broken nails and honestly not a single one wasn't lifting, so I went back and politely asked them to remove them. I did request a refund, but they weren't willing and just gave me the removal for free. Also, the "removal" was the quickest soak off they could've possibly done to try and get me out the door as soon as possible. Like 15 minutes max wrapped up, and she had to drill off the rest and it was just a giant mess that's left my nails still looking like trash as you can see in my after photo. Also-the prices are a little ridiculous, expect to pay around $60 for fill ins. They also seem to have weird business practices in general, having an atm that they will encourage customers to use to get a "cash discount" (who knows what kind of atm fee it has!) as well as tip them over VENMO. Really disappointed my view of nail salons, which let's face it, majority of them already suck.

If i could i would leave a "0" Worst customer service experience ever! Called in advance on a Monday morning to see if they have available walk in spot,the lady assured me yes and told me to come,once i got there she told me to wait 10 min,meanwhile she prepared the pedi seat and left me there! 55 minutes later i just walked out,nobody approached me,nobody attended! Had to watch other customers giving me compassion looks and shaking their heads! very disrespectful

Shame on Chanel and shame on Honey Nails for allowing this business practice. I called today as a first time customer as I was recommended to Chanel by a friend. I was given to Chanel to talk to and asked if there was an opening today after 5pm and if not, I could certainly do another day. She was emphatic that today at 5:30pm would be great. A few hours later I got a call from a receptionist (I think...it wasn't Chanel) asking me to come at 6:00pm. I agreed. I went to the appointment and was told to sit at Chanel's station. By 6:25pm still no Chanel or anyone else for that matter to let me know what was going on. When I finally inquired, hurried talk was exchanged and I was told 5 more minutes. I didn't have faith in that and when I asked if they were sure I would be seen in 5 minutes they then said how about seeing someone else? It's like a bait and switch I guess. ABSOLUTELY no customer service or care about anyone's time. I didn't ask to be worked in tonight. Chanel didn't even have the courtesy to come over to me waiting at her station to explain what was going on. And certainly no manager or staff seemed to care. If Chanel is good, I will personally never know as I don't think Honey Nails is the place for me.

One of the older woman with glasses cut my foot. She never apoligized once. She put some white powder substance on my foot. It was so painful, i could barely walk for a week. I didn't go back for a long time. The last visit I had, I changed my mind mind about the color I picked. She literally said, "I should charge you $5.00 for making me get up. Instead of getting me the color palet to choose another color, she gave me one other nail polish to chose from. She did a horrible job on my nails. I tip very well but none of these ladies deserve my tip and I will never go back.

Great atmosphere & professional services.. Stacy is the excellent!! Great staff and nice location
