I feel pretty...oh so pretty ! What a small gem of a shop where the emphasis isn't put on fancy decor but rather quality and cleanliness. Tucked away off the beaten path in Dixie Manor shopping center you will be welcomed and pampered by Ms. Kimmy herself at m.facebook.com/HawaiianN….  I had  eyebrows and nails only but the services offered are endless. Kimmy is not only an amazing nail technician she is also a cosmetologist, eyelash artist and a skin care professional. I have purchased a number of products from her. After an impromptu conversation her suggestions on proucts as well as her given instructions have helped me revitalize my radiant glow. There is something to be said about someone that takes such pride in their profession. I have been coming to Hawaiian nails since I was 12 years old. I am turning 25 this week. The owner Kimmy has been waxing my eyebrows exclusively for the last 13 years. Although I have lived in three states during that time, I always come to Louisville to get my brows waxed by Kimmy exclusively! Not only is she extremely professional and kind, but she does an amazing job and is very passionate about her work and her customers. I also get pedicures here pretty regularly as well and I am never disappointed. Kimmy actually just did my pedicure and eyebrows yesterday for my birthday. My mother has also been coming here for the last 15 years for eyelash extensions, pedicures, acrylic sets and other services. I highly recommend this business and I will continue to come here for the next 13 years (hopefully longer) guaranteed!

I couldn't wait to get back to see Kimmy at Hawaain Nails to have my eyebrows and lips waxed.  I've been going to her for 20 years for my wax and my nails.  She takes her time and is the best in town.  I was nervous about going back, but my nervousness went away after I walked in.  She has a list of symptoms of Covid-19 with the sign in sheet, that says to reschedule if you're experiencing any of the symptoms.   There is hand sanitizer when you walk in, as well as other locations in the shop.  She also does temperature checks.  Plexiglass partitions have been installed in between each of her stations and her she and her staff are wearing the plexiglass face shields.  Her shop has always been very sanitary, but now she is doing so much more to not only be in compliance, but to keep her clientele safe.

If I could give it zero stars I would.. let me start by saying I am VERY particular about my nails, and they did not get taken care of at Hawaiian nails. I came in on a Thursday afternoon to get a simple full set after reading the glowing reviews on yelp.

First, the ambiance is very odd, it kind of gave me a hoarder vibe. It's a small space with a weird odor and old magazines everywhere. When I sat down and started my full set it was with a guy, I didn't catch his name. He barely spoke English. I mean, like, BARELY. He cut me several times with the drill, made me bleed, and basically ignored my very vocal complaints of pain. At this point in time a wasp crawls out from behind the wall and starts flying above my head. I point out the wasp and the guy ignores it. Like... ignored a wasp. That stings. Thank god my boyfriend was there to kill it!! My nails were shaped badly, they were much thicker than I normally get them, the nail polish was thick and he applied like 6 coats so I was left with a gross bubbly mess. I was left with acrylic stuck to my cuticles and under the nails themselves. I also paid 30 dollars for this way below average manicure.

I love this nail shop! They always do an amazing job. The owner is the sweetest and really takes care of her clients. I've tried several different Nail Salons, but Hawaiian Nails have kept me as a client for a while now:)  A++ Recommended.
