Dane's Salon in Louisville, KY

As others have pointed out in their reviews, James is the best. He is very good at what he does, and he is a pleasure to talk to. I'm not exactly sure how long I've been going to Dane's Salon, but it's definitely been over 10 years. Since it is just James doing hair, it is a quiet and relaxing place. He takes cleanliness very seriously. Sometimes parking can be a bit challenging, but that is the nature of being a business on Barret Ave. I now have my mother and my fiancé going to Dane's Salon. They are both very happy with James' work as well. Highly Recommend!

It's been 15 years since I began visiting James at Danes salon.
I discovered him and have not/ will not go anywhere else for a variety of reasons from quality to affordability.

To begin, you must realize that I am not a Louisville local.
My husband is from Louisville.
Needless to say I I discovered James the first time I came to visit and did so every time after. Even when we lived in Texas and Florida, I would always schedule an apt to see James when I visited.
Fast forward a few years and now we live in Louisville.
Danes salon is down the street and I will still NEVER leave.
He is kind, caring, compassionate, and the salon is ALWAYS extremely clean. He is great with hairstyles, gives great cuts, and  James is a phenomenal colorist.

When I am out in the world people who notice a recent haircut or color always ask me where I went and how affordable was it. I am happy to say that James is both conveniently located and affordably priced.

He is, and always will be the best in my eyes. Go visit him, give him the opportunity to make you feel beautiful and you will never want to go anywhere else either

James is my favorite hairstylist! My family and I have been coming to him for years- for cuts, colors and special events. He's always super accommodating and I'm consistently pleased with his work.

James has the magic touch.  After a cut, my hair lays and curls just the way I want it to with minimal styling and effort.  His cuts always grow out nicely.  He does exactly what I ask for and is always willing to offer suggestions about length or style and answer my questions.  

I've been going to James at Dane's Salon for over 7 years.  I tell all of my friends about him.  I'll never leave.  He easily fits me in when I need an appointment, has a great Highland's location with easy parking and offers his excellent service at a reasonable price.  After a long day at work, it is always a pleasure to talk to James.  He is easy going, friendly and a pleasure to be around.

My husband and I have been clients of this salon for 8 years now and we would never cheat on our stylist and salon owner James. He's always accommodating, never rushes and doesn't push his ideas on you. He'll do what you want done to your hair.

When our two kids entered the picture, he gladly accepted them as clients and has done whatever it takes to make their manes perfect, including chasing them around the salon on his knees to cut their hair. I don't know how he manages to cut straight while they're constantly in motion, but he does it.

In addition to washing, cutting, coloring and drying, he has also been our man for elegant up dos for special occasions such as weddings and black tie events.
