This was not the salon I visited so I tried to delete my review but it seems impossible to do. I visited a salon on Tamiani trail that I was very happy with the service .
New owners! Disregard all the previous negative reviews. The shop has had a complete makeover. It is so CLEAN and pleasant now! The new owners are a very nice family. If you have been there in the past, you should give the new owners a chance to make up for any bad experience from the past. I was there April 1 and had a manicure, pedicure and wax. Three different technicians were all very good.
This is my first visit to Happy Nails under the new ownership. What a difference. Family owned neighborhood business. Very clean salon, and a warm and friendly staff. Andy was very skilled at applying my full set of gel nails. All done under an hour and I was ready to go. Please consider trying Happy Nail one more time if you had a bad experience under the former owners. They would so appreciate and welcome your patronage being a new business. Was a happy client for years before I moved away. Came back this year as a snowbird and Mimi filled in new growth on my acrylic nails and gave me French manicure shortly after salon reopened after remodeling. Went back last week for same thing plus pedicure. Manicurist told me Mimi doesn't work there anymore and acrylic nails are no good, proceeding to painfully remove all ten. I should have been smart and left before that. She fitted and glued on the very same type of lengthening tips but after filling to shape and size dipped each finger into some powder which is supposedly superior to the gel or whatever stuff I've had for years. She apologized for filing into fingertip and cutting two fingers. Bill was $101 before tip. When I got home I realized I had a raw spot on side of foot where callus removal was too aggressive and the next day and week I couldn't put total weight on other foot as massage was too deep into arch and left my foot very tender. Happy Nails no longer makes me happy and I am done with them.
