I have thick, almost jet black, shiny, pin-straight, Asian hair. I specifically sought out this place for the fact that it dealt with hair like mine.
The owner is Korean, and she is the only staff despite the 5 chairs (as of October 2018). If there are more than two customers, it becomes a challenge. Her English is not great, but communicating what you want is not a problem. She will take the time to make sure you are on the same page.
She has the skills and the experience, but not the strength nor the stamina of multiple people. Hence, the resulting effect: Not great, but not terrible.
Given this, I would go here
1. for regular, easy to do procedures (trims, cuts, basic perms, highlights, lowlights, single or double process coloring)
2. on a week day, (Weekends have more customers)
3. earlier in the day (so she isn't so tired)
4. when not on a tight schedule.
No appointment, just walked in and Hannah was finishing up with someone. She had me sit down and tell her what I wanted. And....
I got the best haircut I've had in Auburn since my long time haircutter retired. I've found my place for a haircut. Highly recommend.
She specializes in hair from those of Asian descent but can also help those that are American as well in need of a good haircut! Would recommend
I went there this summer. The service is good and price is moderate ($18 for women and $15 for men). You can bring pictures to show them what style you want your hair be cut. Those who are not satisfied with American hair cut style could try this salon. The owner is a Korean, and she is good at Korean style. They are more likely to cut you hair in the style that you could find in Asian countries.
