Hairtistics in Alexandria, VA

Women know that when they move to a new area, it's just as important to find a good hair stylist as it is to find a good doctor! Hairtistics was recommended to me by a friend. Since the first time I went, I haven't bothered to look elsewhere because Kee never disappoints. It's not a chi chi salon, and there are 20 steps to walk up, but the only thing that is important to me is the quality of the work which is why I gave it 5 stars.

Kee, the owner of Hairtistics, has been styling/cutting my hair for many years. She is so talented and creative that she was selected to be a Paul Mitchell trainer of stylists at other salons in the Metro area. I am often asked where I get my hair done. It is without reservaton that I recommend Kee at Hairtistics!

As a long time client I rely on Kee's expertise to give me a haircut that looks great out the door and stays looking good for a long time. I can get a haircut the day of an event and rely on it to be perfect. Kee's talent for a precision haircut and superb blow dry is unequalled. I always get compliments on my cut and am glad to refer people to this salon.

Last year I had several haircuts at this place. I always walked in with a certain hairstyle in mind. I have long hair and wanted to keep my length, but wanted something my layered in the front. Everytime, she would say it's not possible to have this cut, without going short in the back. So everytime, I would leave with my hair much shorter than I wanted. I didn't understand how the people in the magazines got their hair this way. I think it would be helpful to take a picture of the hair you want to this lady. A few months ago, I got my haircut while on a business trip in L.A. I explained to the hairstylist what I wanted. Keep it long, but jazz up the front. He knew exactly what I wanted and I have never got a haircut like this every! it looked just like the magazines! He told me that many hairdressers don't know how to do this because they were trained the 'old school' way. It's a common issue. Needless to say, I never went back to Hairtistics and found a great hairdresser 'shopia' at the Old Town salon and spa! She cuts just like the guy in L.A!
