HairMasters in Yakima, WA

Hairmasters is one of those places that I find very similar in my mind to McDonald's. This is never a place that I'm going to go for the best haircut I've ever had, but every time I go here I get a good consistent product. In the case of our family, we get a good consistent product for our four and six-year-olds! I love the fact that we can call here and in general can get in later that day. Every time we go, the kids get a good haircut that keeps them a little bit cooler for the next 6 to 8 weeks. This specific Hairmasters is located just outside Fred Meyer so it's nice that one person can hang with the kiddos, and the other can go shopping for any and everything that we need! Kids cuts run in the $15 range, and they generally get a sucker when they leave. What's not to like!

I had Maria as my stylist today and I cannot say enough good things about her! She was patient, took her time to find out what I wanted, and got the job done perfectly. She was pleasant to talk to and I will definitely be coming back! She was wonderful!

I came in to get a simple hair trim. I asked my stylist for it to go a bit below my shoulders and to get my split ends off. My hair now hits my college bone and it is completely uneven. I now have to go to another salon to get it fixed. My layers don't mesh together at all and I look like a 12 year old boy. I will not be coming back.

I had an appointment for a perm and when I got there I become extremely ill and ask for a glass of water and was told they didn't have any water, I said any water tap water is fine please, please. They refused to give me any water and the sweat was rolling off of me and I thought I was going to pass out. They did NOTHING...... My son-inlaw ran to starbucks for some water, and I am disabled so I stayed to get hair done and the stylist Isabelle was the rudest most unfriendliest person I have ever met. She should not be allowed to work with the public. I will never go there again, and will tell everyone that I can, what a horrible unfriendly business this is...

This place came recommended by a friend of mine, so I decided to take 2 of my kids and myself for hair cuts. We had 3 different stylists cut our hair. The lady who cut my bangs RUINED my hair, I sat in my car and bawled my eyes out because she cut it so horribly and yes it will grow back but in the meantime it's not something that can't be fixed, clearly she was never taught how to cut side bangs, the lady with long black hair who cut one of my daughters hair was so rude and she refused to blow dry my daughters hair, the other lady who cut my other daughters hair was very nice and she tried to fix my bangs but it was a lost cause after that. I also learned that my friends husband had just cut his hair there a few days before and they ruined his hair so bad he ended up just having to shave his head when he got home because they screwed it up so bad. They also refused to blow dry my kids hair, even after I offered to pay for a blow dry, which really should be part of the hair cut, and it was windy and cold, they had to be outside with wet hair. I am so upset I will never ever go back nor will I recommend this place to anyone. I've called twice to speak to a manager who is never available to talk to. Tonight when I called, again she was not there, but the lady I spoke to was very sweet. All in all, we will never return. What a terrible experience.
