I went through a hard, VERY hard loss recently with a close friend of mine who committed suic*ide recently.. and I went through a very tough depressive state... my hair was in KNOTS!!! And I mean literal knots.. it was hard for me to comb them out myself without damaging my hair anymore than what it was, and I have rather thinish hair due to bleaching it for a first time last year from another hair Cuttery I went to anyway, here's what went wrong... Aside the knots I just kept getting dirty looks, I mean from everyone, I was still going through it of course but I ultimately wanted the knots out wash it and a style cause it's what I paid for, but other than that I requested possibly get it highlighted and just looking nice for spring to up my spirits I've been through too many salons only to get turned down by how many knots I had... So she starts by take combs and most of them came out within 10 minutes but one knot stood on for about 30-40 minutes and because of where it was my hair was already quite short im talking a little below the shoulders that if I were to cut it I'd basically have a pixie cut which I was happily trying to avoid but the stylist just kept insisting and insisting I just cut it... and she just kept lathering oils and different hair products in my hair that at this point I don't even think she knew what she was doing, I was ready to just say give my the brush and I'll do it, so then she just brings me over to the hair washing station which felt like an eternity, and then back over to the station so she says I should just layer cut it, and I said fine my hair is now even SHORTER!!!! She took off literally almost 2 inches of my hair... so not exactly ear short but a little above shoulder length... which affects me.. I spent $80... $80 FREAKING DOLLARS just to get knots out.. not even blow dried and not even styled... PLEASE SAVE YOUR MONEY AND DO NOT GO HERE!!!

Do NOT let *MUNDARA KISS* (Facebook handle) near you with anything sharp! I showed her reference pictures (including ones of my OWN haircut) of what I wanted done. I just needed a clean up since My hair is short anyway. Not only did she MESS up a basic haircut any stylist should know how to cut but she cut the back CROOKED, with clippers! See photos and do NOT ever go to chain salons like Hair Cuttery! They'll hire anything that breathes to cut hair!

I like my my cut BUT this is the most unwelcoming salon ever. You walk in and the waiting area is just plain, simple and outdated. The floors are dirty. The walls need a facelift, they are also dirty. Even the big portrait looks like it's from The 90's. And please don't get me started on how dirty the bathroom was. It was bad. Once I saw the bathroom, I almost walked out. The reason I stayed was because I read the reviews before I made my appointment. Cindy and Irina were the only two stylist there and they were both so nice. Irina did my hair and I loved her. She was kind, gentle and she's very talented. Would I go again? I'm not sure. Although I liked Irina, I didn't like that there was no front desk help so she has to walk away a couple times to help the people walking in. Which I understand but it's still took time away from my cut. It was also dirty, which I really didn't like. I mean there was even hair on the floor in the bathroom floor. The toilet was clearly not cleaned. It was just gross in there. I'm not sure I would return. It was on the cheaper side for a cut though. I paid $47 for a wash, trim and blow out.

This is the first time I visited hair Cuttery and I was very impressed with not only my stylist customer service skills but, also her ability to give a great cut at a reasonable price.
