The very masterful owner, Michael, is an exquisite artist with his scissors, coloring and styling. He does meticulously detailed work and appreciates my beauty potential wether my follicles are past my chest or crew cut. Conscientiously crafting my hair for decades!

I have been going to Michael for years and years. He is a master of his craft. I always leave feeling beautiful. More importantly, he cuts my hair in a way that I can actually style it myself.

Michael has done my hair a couple of times for highlights. The last time, tho he overprocessed my fine thin hair, and I was left with yellow bleach out hair. He knew my base hair was light already, and I turn quickly. He was supposed to alternate high and low lights with my natural color. He did that before, and I thought that was what he was doing. I even showed him the picture of what he did last time to remind him. Well, the day of my appointment, he was in a rush, meeting friends in NYC. I guess he didn't pencil in enough time and just highlighted my entire head with bleach and put me under a heated dryer to make it worse. I did tell him after, not really, what I expected. It's totally overprocssed and completely blonde. There was no depth of any low lights or my natural color showing. I did call him a couple of days out, and he put in a toner, but the damage was already done. I had to go somewhere else and pay another $200+ to put in low lights to even it out the bleach blonde. I wouldn't complain about the money if my hair could have been saved and didn't get so ruined from all the bleach. My hair just broke off month after month. Fast forward over a year later, my fine thin hair is still not the same. It has never grown back correctly the same way and probably won't... It's just devastating, and I can't believe how this careless mistake has put such a toll on my hair and has affected my life. I won't ever get back my hair no matter what I try to do. It just suffered too much damage. I will probably never be able to highlight my hair with bleach again and haven't since the incident.

May I add more stars, please? Michael is a master colorist. I have been getting highlights for years and lately, they haven't seemed quite right, just getting lighter and lighter, but sort of lifeless and lackluster. The last time I got my hair done I decided to throw in the towel and just started to let the whole thing grow out... until I searched Google for hair salons in the Clifton area and found Hair Craft! Understated, friendly, good vibes and definitely worth the search. Michael took one look at me and immediately understood what I was looking for - more natural and more vibrant. He not only colored my hair, he added color to my whole life! The cut is exactly what I needed and the color is warm and full of depth. We all know hair is more than hair... it's part of our confidence and mine has been lifted and layered! Thank you - you have a customer for life! Run, don't walk to this salon... or you could just call for an appointment - they'll get right back to you.
