Euro Tans and Spa in Clifton, NJ

Over the course of the last 7 months, I've enjoyed my waxing appointments with Elly. Waxing and enjoying generally don't go in the same sentence. I have been getting regular waxing over the years with various waters. However, Elly easily puts you at ease, is calming, meticulous and answers any questions or concerns you may have. The front desk girls are also kind, experienced and go above and beyond to help you relax prior and after the appointments, especially Rachel. I've had the pleasure of scheduling the monthly subscription appointments with convenience. Someone and someplace can show you what you want to see for the first few times, consistency is difficult to find. This is one of the reasons why I waited so long to submit my review.

I've been coming to Euro tans for the past 3-4 years just about. I have been to numerous waxing places in the past including European wax center where i had a horrendous waxing experience and let's just say I'm sticking with Euro tans ! In terms of pricing, honestly you can't beat it. They have such a good deal and I have my monthly Brazilian at such an affordable price with quality waxing. Always clean, efficient, and accommodating. I even showed up a day early for my appointment (a Saturday instead of Sunday) and the front desk asked the waxer if she could fit me in since she had some time right then & there ! I was more than willing to come back for my actual scheduled appointment since it was my error but they 100% handled it amazingly and fit me in and I was in and out within twenty minutes! The waxing staff are great I've seen Alba, Brianna, and Janelle and recommend all of them I have never had an issue with their service. I know reviews below complain about their late policy but this is a business and ultimately I think cracking down on constant no shows or people just showing up extremely late and backing up the waxers schedule is really unfair. All in All, I'll be a loyal client of Euro tans in Clifton for as long as they are there !

I went here for a Brazilian as I noticed their first time price. But I should've known it was to good to be true. My experience was truly a "you get what you pay for" learning experience. The waxer and I never spoke as she was talking on the phone on speaker phone the whole time, touching her gloved hands to her phone then touching me. Because she was so interested in her conversation (one that I should NOT have heard) she did a poor job waxing. At one point in time there were five strips of wax on me at once- that's not normal!!! I told her this was one of the first times I've gotten waxed. She didn't respond. No counting down to brace me, telling me when to exhale, rough touch. I've never been sore or dealt with irritation after a wax but boy I did with this. She went over and over on the same spots but somehow I'm still not fully waxed. Did I mention she was shooting the strips of wax in the garbage and actually missed a couple times and left the pieces of wax with my hair on the floor. I don't go out of my way to not recommend places to people but I'll let them know my full, uncensored experience (as I'm telling the censored experience now) and let them be the judge.

I have been a loyal customer coming on a monthly basis to receive my wax and up until today I have had no problems. My appointment was for 10:40. I called and stated that I would be about 10 minutes late and the new receptionist stated it was okay. I got there at literally 10:51 and she told me my appointment was canceled and they couldn't take me and I needed to reschedule. Now, I am all for adhering to policies but it has been numerous occasions were I had to wait more than 10 minutes to receive my service and never complained. One time they had me sitting in the front waiting and never told my Esthetician that I was waiting. At 10:51 my Esthetician was still with another person and I was told that she had an 11 o'clock so apparently they had already filled my 10:40 spot because she was not awaiting my arrival. The problem is I've been a loyal customer since 2017 never had an issue with being late, not calling to cancel if needed and now I was 1 minute pass this grace period and 9 months pregnant and I had to reschedule. As much as the staff changes I never complained and stayed loyal and could have left when the other Estheticians started their own practices. Right now Janelle is the only reason why I will continue to give them my money because she does an awesome job and makes the experience comfortable and as painless as possible. They need to do better!!!

This is for Janelle, THE WAXER and for anyone who thinks they should wax with her. DON'T. I swear this woman kept going over the same area where I literally saw no hair, over and over and over again...like does she not know that area would eventually get irritated? I literally had to say something for her to move on. She is god damn awful. Go for Andrea instead.
