My stylist was on vacation, so I decided to give Great Clips a shot. NEVER AGAIN. Not so great. Choppy, uneven haircut, even worse attitude! AVOID the mature, African American male stylist like the plague! From the very start, his attitude was terrible - rude is an understatement. I have super thick, very short PRECISION CUT hair - not a 15 minute undertaking. I basically just shut up and let him cut my hair. When I did point out a few uneven hairs, he was visibly pissed about it. Had to ask for the mirror, which he reluctantly handed me. Then I asked him if he had a card, he didn't. When I asked him for his name, he said "it's not important" like he knows he sucks. I could kick myself for giving this jerk a $5 tip. And didn't have the nerve to request the Senior Haircut. AVOID THIS STYLIST! NEVER AGAIN.
The only positive thing I can say about this place is there was no wait. I ran in on the spur of the moment after my massage to get a trim before heading out on vacation. I should have waited until I could go somewhere they know how to cut hair. The woman who cut my hair didn't take into consideration its texture or my natural curl. I left looking like she put a bowl on my head and cut. This place may suffice for a short men's cut or a small child, but if you want it "styled" I would not recommend this place. Now I have to go and get my hair styled after it was butchered.
Walked in and got my haircut with no wait. Haircut was good and quick. Got a beard trim as well. All said and done $29. Elaina was great.
New online system favors online check in over walk in. Monitor shows no waiting customers. I've sitting here for 20 minutes and people walk in and get seated around me.
This is the only place I will go to get my hair cut in Raleigh!
This is not only the busiest great clips I have visited in NC, it is by far the best.
They have adopted to the new way of doing business during this pandemic without missing a beat and have retained the same stylists since I have been going there. Cory is by far one of the most talented stylist there, he can handle even the most intricate details without giving it a second thought.
I highly recommend this great clips!
