Great Clips in Fort Wayne, IN

Let's be honest, Great Clips isn't the place for a transformative hair experience. But for a quick, reliable trim, the Fort Wayne location on Jefferson certainly delivers. Their online check-in was a lifesaver, giving me a realistic estimate of the wait time and saving me from the dreaded salon shuffle.

My stylist, Edina, was a gem. Friendly and chatty, they made the whole experience feel relaxed and enjoyable. They listened carefully to my requests and translated them into a tidy haircut that I'm happy with.

However, here's the catch: the price. At $20 for a men's cut, Great Clips is starting to creep into the territory of private barbershops. While the convenience and consistency are appealing, I can't help but feel a pang of sticker shock compared to pre-pandemic prices.

Another thing to consider: don't expect a miracle transformation. You won't get the same level of detail or personalized attention as you might from a dedicated barber or stylist. But that's not their game. Great Clips is all about efficiency and consistency for men basic hair cut, and on those terms, they do a solid job.

The one thing I really appreciate is their notes system. Having my preferences documented on the little card makes it easy for others to replicate the cut if I see a different stylist or visit another location.

So, would I recommend Great Clips in Fort Wayne? Absolutely, if you need a quick, reliable trim and don't mind paying a bit more than you might have used to. Just remember, it's a no-frills experience with a price tag that's starting to feel a bit less "great."

Didn't let us in like 15 mins before they closed because they didn't want to so don't bother going late.

This salon has the worst customer service I have ever experienced in any customer service setting. This is not my first bad experience here, it is my second. There WILL NOT be a third opportunity for me to be disappointed.

I checked in online, drove the ~25 min. from work, checked in upon arrival, and took a seat. The woman that checked me in proceeded to take a WALK-IN ahead of me. I let that slide for a couple of reasons. The next stylist proceeded to take yet ANOTHER walk-in ahead of me. I got upset, walked to the counter, and was asked if I could be helped. I stated now 2 walk-ins had been taken ahead of me and now was going to be late for other commitments. The stylist who had taken the 2nd walk-in ahead of me literally said to me, 'You need to tell us when you arrive!'  I was thoroughly disgusted at this point, explained clearly and vocally that I had, IN FACT, checked in upon arrival. I also explained I would not be staying and walked out. Upon my exit, a half-hearted 'sorry' was offered.

We paid $12 for some fruit to give me a 4 minute crappy haircut and it wasn't even busy. My neck is still hairy I asked for a slight trim up top and they took half an inch of my hair and my sides have specks of untrimmed hair screw this crap cuts place

I would not recommend this Great Clips to anyone you go in after prices or ask about specials and you get a rude ass attitude like are you kidding me on a haircut well you lost my business and three others that were behind me so where to go Great Clips I will not be back at this location I only gave it a one-star cuz I needed to to post a review
