i hate to complain I work in customer service so it really hurts me to have to complain, but ms. Ruth did the worse haircut I've had in my whole life, she was very nice but her hair cutting was horrible I asked for a 2 to 3 on the sides and she rushed it in within 20 minutes and it was so bad, the back wasn't even cut or shaved the sides were choppy I could literally see hair color difference between the 2 to 3 the 2 was supposed to be lighter and I could see the patches of dark everywhere so I went to bathroom to look and I told her I neee it fixed please she rushed the fix had to go over 2 or 3 more things to get it somewhat right, my hair doesn't even look good after all that but it is decent enough to get through until a month, also it was absurd her talking to my girlfriend saying she's been cutting for 32 years and telling my girlfriend she can't learn by just watching, how you have to be a professional and she was the worse stylist ive had in my whole life
The only barber shop I will go to. Jakleen is one of the few stylists who can give a regulation Marine haircut. Sometimes there is a wait of 20 minutes or so, but it's worth it to me.
Ruth did a great job for my 4 year old and I. She was precious. My son loved her and even managed to sit still for her. He was even going to give her a bit of his chocolate ice cream.

I don't feel the need to pay an arm and a leg for a cut and style, because I only wear it down on occasion. I usually only get it cut before weddings because now that I have reached my late 20s there's a wedding every few months. However I decided last minute to get a haircut before an event and had a poor experience.
When getting a haircut there is only one important thing that I request - that I can still put it in a ponytail. I explained this on my last visit and yet the man who cut my hair sheered off a face framing cut but one side the start of the cut is too short to pull back. Which leads into the other problem with the cut. Only one side is too short to be pulled back so obviously the cut is completely uneven.
The other issue with my visit is that the stylists were talking amongst themselves about the fact that their "scissor supplier" had shown up and was waiting outside for anyone who wanted to place an order for scissors. Now I don't know what they were purchasing with cash from some guy parked in a car across the street. It is really none of my business. It wasn't scissors. However it was pretty unprofessional to talk about it openly with a thinly veiled code. I felt like the arrival of this mysterious supplier took attention away from my haircut.
The haircut even with shampoo and tip was cheap but next time I will suck it up and pay salon prices instead of coming back here.
