I have to agree with the review below. I also received a Groupon for an hour massage as a gift. It took a month just to book an appointment because no one ever answered when I called.
When I arrived 15 minutes early (as told to do so), I waited for a while just to be checked in. No one was around. Then I  waited a total of 40 MINUTES more just  to be taken downstairs to a super creepy basement. There was no heat and it was not relaxing at all. The masseuse just lightly rubbed me  in oil while living out her glory days for a total of 35 minutes. They were late for my appointment so my hour was cut in half.  I was not asked any questions nor was my paperwork reviewed (the reason I was told to arrive early).
I still have muscle pains and have to re-schedule elsewhere. You couldn't pay me to go back to this place.

I purchased a 60 minute massage here via Groupon for $39.

First of all, the massage room ambiance is subpar. There were electronic appliances stacked in the corner of the room, it was pretty musty, and you could hear most of the noises from upstairs. Someone cooked some salmon in their onsite kitchen, or something, before I got there, because the whole place smelled like burnt fish.

I have no idea who my masseuse was - she never introduced herself or did any sort of intake questions- but I wondered several times during the course of the massage whether this lady was actually a massage therapist. She just sort of lathered me with tons of essential oils and lotions (enough to give me an allergy attack mid-massage) and rubbed me down with barely perceptible pressure. It seemed like she had little to no knowledge of how the human musculature system works. She also forgot to turn on the table heat until about two minutes before the massage was over, so i was freezing the whole time. Maybe she was someone who they pulled from the front desk because they were understaffed?

My friend who went with me said she had a great massage, so that's why I'm giving this place 2 stars instead of 1.

I first went to MC3 because of a Groupon and the salon owner, Mickey, cut my hair.  She did an excellent job and now I go to her whenever I need a trim.  She's exceedingly friendly and her skill w/ tresses is definitely superior!

I got a gift certificate from my boss to have a pedicure.  I called MC3 daily for a few days but kept getting an old sounding answering machine message.  I didn't leave any messages because I didn't want to be called back at an inopportune time.  I thought I'd just keep trying back until I got someone to answer, but after a few days, I finally gave up & left a message.  They did call me back, & when I mentioned my thoughts about their telephone practices, I of course was given the whole "Oh yea?  I don't know why that happened..." response.  I should've seen the failure from the beginning at that point, but I really wanted to give them the benefit of the doubt based on other MC3 reviews I'd read.
I arrived at my appointment time, walked in, told them my name & that I was scheduled to meet with Cliff.  I'd never seen Cliff so had no idea he was the male standing behind the counter.  When he heard my introduction he said in a completely flat, monotone voice, "I'm Cliff, come on in here & have a seat" as he walked away from me into another room.  I said out loud to him, "and you seem so thrilled with my arrival..." to which he mumbled some response that I couldn't hear.  I seriously debated on turning around & leaving, but figured I was already there, so followed him into the small, hot room.
I told him I'd never had a pedicure before & for him to just tell me what I needed to do.  He was nice enough, & showed me the chair controller as he started running the water.  I sat down & started adjusting the massage options of the chair.  As he was getting started, the chair started to make these weird noises.  It was distracting so I just turned the "massage chair" off.  Cliff & I didn't seem to warm up to each other despite my attempts to make casual lighthearted conversation, & the whole deal was over so fast that I never really got to a point that I'd call "relaxing"  :-(  He did the minimal basics, very little in the way of massaging & he didn't work on my heels at all.  He filed the bottoms of my feet with what looked like a flat cheese grater & the side of one toe.  I kept thinking he'd get back to my heels, but I was wrong.  In all fairness to Cliff- I did choose the less expensive pedicure, but that was simply an effort to stretch the services I could afford that day so I could get a better idea of how I liked MC3 as a whole...  I got my answer.
I decided to get my lip waxed while I was there, & was taken upstairs by Kelly only to wait in the hallway before she decided to come back down & do my wax herself.  She told me to wait a few minutes while she turned her wax back on.
While I waited for her wax to heat up, I sat in what appeared to be a waiting room showcasing a 5 foot tall handmade wooden clock.  I asked another girl that was already sitting in there about it & she said they inherited the clock with the building.  I gathered that she was another stylist that worked there.  She was talking with Kelly & playing on her phone.  She moved from place to place & would perch on any small space she came to.  It was odd to watch, I even mentioned to her that she reminded me of a cat "perching" on all the flat surfaces as she moved about.  Professional??  I think not.  The whole place seemed very much like children that had been left at home alone while the parent was out of the house.  Like there wasn't a leader & they were all just there because they had to be.  The three I dealt with were all in casual street clothes, & very comfortable.  I appreciate comfort, & I wear shorts & a t-shirt to my job every day, but I'm not in a "salon & wellness center" trying to charge for my expertise either.
When Kelly was ready, she said to sit & lean back over a hair washing sink.  I expected her to actually know how to wax, but all she did was smear hot wax on my lip & yank it off.  No powder before or after to ease the temperature or the yanking sensation.  There really are steps that can be taken to ease the discomfort of waxing, but most people are too cheap or lazy or unskilled to take the extra 20 seconds to use those products.  Unfortunately for me, Kelly fell into one of those categories :-(
Cliff was nice enough, but clearly not an award winning pedicurist.  Kelly was the nicest person I encountered, but didn't impress me with her waxing skills either.  I guess if you want a haircut, either of them could help you, but it became glaringly obvious to me that MC3 has added on some side services & expects their stylists to do them as an upsell to their more bread & butter hair services.
It's been a few days since my visit & I've been debating on writing this review.  I really wanted to like them & I wanted to be able to write a glowing review, (I even mentioned to Cliff that I'm an avid reviewer) but after really putting some thought on it, I can't in good conscience remain silent about my experience.  I want others to know how my experience went so they don't waste their gift cards at MC3 like I did.

3 hour living social experience. The male massage therapist was wonderful. I received a deep pressure massage that was one of the best I have ever received. He was super nice. The price, however, would keep me from going more often. Zen (next door) gives one just as good for about 1/2 the price. I upgraded my facial and received a dermaplane and Jet microderm type treatment. That was great and I really liked my esthetician. I will return and see her periodically. The pedicure was the WORST I have had. The lady was nice but slapped oil on my legs and ZERO massage. I would never pay full price for this service. The polish job looked like a 5 year old did it. I think she was in a rush since her lunch had arrived. I actually went for a redo pedicure at another place with a friend 5 days later. I told the lady I just had a pedicure 5 days ago and she laughed at the polish job. She said it was very sloppy. The owner was nice but wish she would have looked more closely at my pedicure or asked me about my services privately. I didn't complain about the pedicure when I left since the package was so cheap. I don't think it is good to ask how every thing went when the service providers are in ear shot.
