Again, as always, friendly competent staffing in a convenient clean location! With my issue of "baby fine hair" it takes a talented beautician to cut it properly; KK fits that bill to the hilt thankfully. With the "online check-in" available it's a winner!
I asked for long layers and the stylist who said her name was Vanessa, and also said she was the manager, cut a ledge into my hair. If I could give 5 negative stars I would. Great Clips needs to better vet its employees for competency. I filed a complaint with corporate with this pic. I suggest going elsewhere. I'm off to find someone who can fix this butchery.
I will never return to Great Clips. I went there after teaching at WWU all day. I was the only person in the salon. I tried to get help but no one looked at me. I sat in the waiting room for 20 minutes and was never acknowledge by anyone despite my many attempts to make an appt. There were no other customers. The "stylists" were too busy chatting amongst themselves. so I left. These women were so rude and disrespectful. Sad
I recently experienced a tragic box dye incident that ended with a lot of my long hair coming off in a comb -- something I'd never experienced in all the years of dyeing my hair at home. Yep, I messed up. Bigtime. I'd been toying with the idea of cutting my hair anyway, so I dropped by Great Clips. There was a 4 minute wait -- no problem! I walked in and was taken back almost immediately by a masked (very important to me these days!) stylist who was friendly and welcoming. After a short conversation about what I wanted, she got to work. I had my glasses off so I couldn't really see what was happening but I wasn't worried. And then she was done and... SO CUTE! It's always jarring to me when I get a new haircut, especially one that's such a dramatic change, but I was wowed! And because I'm "of a certain age" I got a discount... I was given it automatically so I was kind of like "OMG I'm OLD and it SHOWS!!" but it was really nice not to have to ask. I ended up adding the discount to the tip for the stylist because I was truly pleased. I won't hesitate to return -- it was a really good experience and a terrific rescue following my nasty little at-home surprise.
