Gene Juarez Salon & Spa in Silverdale, WA

I asked for a significant amount of hair cut off. When asked if I wanted layers, I stated that I was unsure but my stylist suggest them, so my short cut didn't look too bulky. I was fine with that. She cut my hair, which looked okay at the time (it was night time and I couldn't tell from afar with my short cut and the black cape). I noticed while being blow dried she didn't use a brush or comb or anything. Just ran her fingers through my hair while blow drying. I figured she was doing a rough dry and would use one to style and finish the dry out. she did not. Fine. I was willing to look past that. However once I got home and looked closer at my hair, I noticed longer strands peeking out from my bob and my "layers" looked like just one layer all around. I called a day & a half later and let the salon know that I was unsatisfied with not only my experience but most importantly my cut. The lady listened to my complaints, said it was "weird" and submitted a request for a "redo". I was told once approved, I would hear back about scheduling. It has now been a week and I haven't heard a thing. Granted I could have called, AGAIN, to ask. However at this point, I'm unsatisfied with the way things have been handled, on top of hating my hair, and don't even feel comfortable giving them another chance a

Clean, bright, and convenient salon. Stylist Kathy was nice, knowledgeable, and attentive. She was receptive to my request and offered her expertise. Front desk staff members were polite and courteous and offered beverages. Bonus, they accept all major credit cards which you can keep on file so as not to fumble with cards at the conclusion of service.

While the Silverdale location is clean and bright, I found it to be lacking in any brand of character. The interior is a sea of metal and black, no interesting decor to make the space special (at least not that I noticed). I was also surprised at the music selection and volume, as it was giving nightclub vibes, for a clientele with a median age of about 60. Not relaxing at all. I was glad that my assigned stylist was engaging, without being overboard. She took the time to look at photos I brought and discussed options with me. While the interaction was enjoyable, I did not ultimately leave with the look I wanted, and when I got home, found that layers were uneven and a long piece of hair had been missed (which I then had to cut myself). For $80+ dollars (before tip), I will probably try another salon for my next service.

A thank you shout out to the manager Denise - she did a great job and sorting out a long lost credit which we were able to apply today My sweet niece had a great haircut and blow dry from Dallas Glad to see that Jean warez still offers, their market, spiced, tea, coffee, peppermint, tea or water Everything was clean and bright. Comfortable chairs to wait and positive energy.

Went in for a haircut with a few different inspo pictures that all kind of contradicted themselves. I knew what I wanted but wasn't sure how to word it. Dallas took the time to listen to what I wanted, and walked me through every step of her process. I ended up leaving with an amazing haircut that I had pictured in my head! This was the first time I left a salon HAPPY! I rarely cut my hair because it's always disappointing and I end up regretting it, but not this time! Dallas totally killed it and I love my haircut. I will 100% return to this salon, and specifically ask for Dallas, because she just gets it!
