Funky Cheveux Hair Studio in College Station, TX

I don't write reviews often but this place deserves it. I was in desperate need of a hair cut and Kandice was more than helpful. I got in the same day I called and she was probably the sweetest hairdresser I've ever had. She listened to me and gave me exactly what I asked for rather than chopping my hair up. The style was wonderful too! I would definitely recommend this place to anyone looking for a haircut

DO NOT DO NOT DO NOT GO HERE. Bailey, one of the hairstylist there fucked up my hair so bad. I was planning on going platinum and Bailey assured me she could do it. After two bleaches I felt like something was wrong. I went to a different salon and the hairstylist there told me she should have NEVER even offered platinum hair to me because it could not be done on my hair due to highlights. He said my hair was so damaged I couldn't do much to fix it. I had to ONLY use color and color it gray. After treatment I was able to semi fix my hair. When I told this to Bailey she at first offered a refund and THEN backed out of it. She wanted me to instead let her manager fix my hair but WHY IN THE FUCK would I go back to the place that fucked up my hair. Save yourself the money and time.

Be careful what you wish for!!!!! Your wish may not come true, mine did not!!!! When you make a request twice, show pictures and your talked over, feel your brushed off and your gut says grab your things and run. Say thank you. AND, GRAB YOUR THINGS AND RUN NO MATTER HOW AWFUL YOUR HAIR LOOKS. IT WILL BE MUCH WORSE IF YOU STAY!!!!! I made the mistake of staying. What a mistake. At least I know what I'll look like when I'm old and grey headed instead of young and blonde. DO NOT PASS GO, DO NOT PAY $200.00 NOT EVEN A DOLLAR JUST KEEP GOING H-O-M-E!!!!! Thank goodness in 4 to 6 weeks I can find someone else to color me blonde again.

I wanted to have my long hair trimmed a little and layered some, in other words the same style and cut I had when I went in to this place. But what I ended up with was one of the worst hair cuts in my entire life ever and I have been around for a while. I ended up with about half the thickness of my hair then what I had, because thinning shears where used on me in an attempt to create layers. I did not realize how bad it was until I got home, I could have cried when I saw how my hair looked. It will take months to regrow the fullness I used to have and I am now trying to have the damage fixed somewhat, if that's possible at all. I am sure my hair will have to be cut much shorter to make it look half way decent again, needless to say that I am very upset and angry. Would give this place 0 stars if I could, be careful who you let touch your hair.

The service is awesome! These girls are super welcoming. Priscilla is an amazing manager. She definitely leads by example! Super fun, friendly, and always keeping it professional. They're knowledgeable about the service and their products. I've been visiting Funky for 3yrs and have never left disappointed. It's been hard to find someone I can trust with my fine thin hair and I'm glad I found Funky. I've never felt intimidated while getting my hair done. love my hair every time I get it done at Funky! Thanks Priscilla!!!
