Fleur d' Elise Salon in Marietta, GA

Elise is the ONLY hairdresser I can trust- the woman is talented. I have LONG lapses between getting my hair cut since I'm busy and my free time is limited. This latest visit I needed a cut before traveling to Acapulco ~ my hair was long and shapless. I show Elise a picture of a haircut I want, with a few exceptions based on my features, etc...and of course her talent performs exactly what I want. I have recieved so many compliments ~ When you want a style to fit YOUR personality ~ Elise is the stylist for you!

I found Elise a little over a year ago by way of some sort of daily deal. I had never gone back a second time to a business I'd discovered through a daily deal (and I've bought quite a few), but I've been seeing Elise every 6-8 weeks ever since. She is great at making my wavy hair look good, and she has been able to give me the brightest professional color I've ever had without a prebleaching. She is great at giving me styles that are fun and slightly funky while still being classy enough for the office. Elise is the hair whisperer. She has a great bedside manner. I love to talk to her and I look forward to her company on every visit. I have referred a few people, and and they have all left her salon delighted. My mom even drives three hours from my hometown to get her hair did by Elise. I highly recommend her salon. Go see Elise; you won't regret it.

I dropped out of the salon lifestyle for a while when I was unemployed and broke, and since I recently found a job (yay!) I was looking for a new stylist. I picked up a voucher for Elise's services on one of the daily deal sites, and made my appointment online, as requested. Her website is okay, but could use some sprucing up, and the online-appointment system was convenient for late-night calendar-arranging but might be confusing for some. My new job allows for a lot more follicular expression than my old corporate drone status did, so I wanted to do three things - touch up my roots and overall color (I have a lot of grey, darn it), add some purple (I was thinking of doing the entire underneath), and get a trim (I like to be able to throw my hair up in a twist or ponytail a lot, so I wasn't looking for an artsy cut). Oh, and I have past-shoulder length, very fine, thinning on top :(, curly/wavy caucasian hair, if it makes a difference to any of you folks reading. There was plenty of parking outside, no problems there. I showed up a few minutes late, because I didn't anticipate the traffic being so heavy, but Elise was very gracious about it. She's in kind of a mega-booth - Sola is a salon where stylists rent their space, but it's really *their* space, with a glass door and everything, and each space is individually decorated, like little mini-salons within a salon-mall. As soon as I saw her lovely red hair, I knew I would like my color, and she was really friendly and easy to talk to as well. I felt confident that she knew her stuff from the way she talked about what she wanted to do with my hair. She talked me into doing purple chunks underneath instead of the whole thing, which worked out well, although I definitely want to add more next time - the effect is a bit more subtle than I was hoping for! I appreciate that she erred on the side of caution, though, for an unnatural-color newbie. The purple color is a perfect grape, and so far is holding up very well, although of course it will fade. The brown she chose for my overall color was very flattering, she covered my stubborn grey admirably, and dyeing my eyebrows really made them pop. She uses Lanza products for everything, which I admit I'm not familiar with, but they smelled nice. Obviously, I am really happy with the result, and definitely will be going back, even though she is a bit of a drive for me. The right stylist is always worth traveling for! :)
